Exilement once told us that all he needed to do if he wanted to be number one on the modlist is lock/unlock 10 threads at the same time for like an hour. The Mod Stats record the number of actions you perform and use that as a base for your rank and activity.

Also, with the inclusion of the Spam-o-matic, it's become once again easier to increase your modstat, as every checkbox you use the SOM on increases your points by 1. It was how I was able to easily topple Sacred who at the time had bragged being on top as I easily doubled his highscore much to his surprise. Being hyper-aware and superactive didn't hurt as well.

Actually, if a mod does directly contradictory actions, they'll be redacted. It's interesting like that.

You don't need to be contradictory to 'accidentally' lock the wrong threads. You just have to be subtle about it.
