View Profile I don't hear about ANY kind of pasta. I eat "pasta" pasta.
Like. The normal one..
Wait, there are kinds? Damn. I really gotta start travelling >->
Dude... Penne, Ravioli, Angel Hair, Pappardelle, Canalini, Spaghetti, Macaroni, etc. There are a
lot of pasta types.
Edit: Jutsu gets it, and that's a pretty reasonable way to explain it.

View Profile There isn't really a "normal" type of pasta, pasta is a...how do I describe...a genre of food.
It's a way of life.
I just quoted Garfield on this one.

I'm soooo bummed I didn't get to have any of that pasta I was serving. I literally kept getting compliments for it, and each one made me hungrier and hungrier. T~T

You owe it to yourself to make it for yourself.
So that you can know the pleasure you've given.

View Profile Just got back from work. My original time for cut since they didn't need me to stay and I'm only a temp, so I get reduced pay. That bums me out quite a bit. Then I see some posts that I just have to delete, so I do and give the necessary punishment. This also bums me out.
The actual work I did do was pretty nice though. I was working the pasta station at a wedding at the Ritz Carlton. I love getting work there. It's classy, but not stuffy, and the employees are awesome. Sad I didn't get to try anything, they had some Pappardelle noodles with Alfredo that had bacon in it. It smelled divine every time I made it. I also would've tried the Angel Hair with Basil, Tomatoes and Garlic (and some olive oil), and the Penne in Marinara, but that Pappardelle was calling to me something fierce.
The Alfredo with bacon is my girlfriends favorite food. I think it's called carbonara or something.

Carbonara is actually really similar.
As for everyone saying to make it myself, do recall I live on campus with a limited disposable income. I can't exactly go on cooking sprees with the dorm equipment, and I have specific things to cook when in class since we cook for other classes and ourselves.
Edit: That all said, I'll soon have a pretty nice deal of liquor to play around with, since my mother loves to collect them for those "rainy days," and I head home on break next week.
