ehhhh no.
I think 2-D and a fair number of other users (myself included) around 2007-2009 were just assholes who created this idea that this place is supposed to be "tough" among the newer users who are now in their position and feel like they've earned the right to treat people like they're below them, just like they experienced when they were new back in the day.
better to break the cycle now instead of pretending it's something to be proud of.

The only 'bully' I had to deal with here was SSS. And that's because he was just a fucking asshole to everybody he didn't know, so it seemed.

yeah, but he was one of the most popular people here and posted more than anyone else, so I think a lot of people wound up emulating his behavior or at least using it as an excuse to be assholes themselves, all during a time when mods were friends with most of the people doing this. again, myself included. I don't even remember what we did as mods in the late 00's lol
