I have played it, as well as MK (X is gonna be awesome with these variants). And believe you me, Bloodborne beats the Gears of War series in terms of blood and gore. Creative weapona as well, considering the Trick Weapon system.

Actually my first video game was super mario world on the SNES.

Now that you've said a work of John Romero, just wondering whether people still play DOOM.
Damn, I remember blasting Demons with a shotgun face to face.

They still kinda do, especially with mods like Samsara. The doom community's pretty active up to this day.
