Halo 3 is good for a mainstream shooter. Raimbow Six and Call of Duty are aimed at specific niches, so they are effectively different and uncomparable.

Well over here in the UK Rainbow Six was in the top 5 sold games for a good few months. 5 or 6 I think.

It's an exceptionately large niche.

That niche is Tactical Shooter. In Halo, you can be tactical if you want, but it's not the only way to play. However, if you DO want to, you're rather limited on those tactics. It's just a solid, fun shooter.
