Yeah I agree with zero, this animation seems like it's trying to send a message, I'd classify it as different from the kind of animations you're talking about Exilement, like the ones you'd find on vimeo or while watching adult swim

Did anyone ever watch this? Very well animated, and very creepy.
Only time I thought it was sending a "message" was on the second part of the video after it shows II. Other than that, it's just.. Odd.
EDIT: Think it may be trying to target society or some shit, showing them the path of a "rebel" maybe?

Dunno but the protests are somehow retarded for not passing through sideways. (Im not sure why, maybe because it's just a drill or somehow the police have da gunZ)

Quote from Exilementthat's because it's not about anything. it's animation for the sake of itself, to demonstrate an art style and atmosphere separate from anything besides the technical aspect of the medium. it's not made to be accessible to most audiences.
most people react to stick figure animation the same way. also most Steve Vai songs.
You're right, except this one clearly has a message. I think it's about consumerism and how life is spent just fulfilling intrinsic desires without achieving much, and then settling at old age and doing almost nothing. Thus the title "Dead Life". You're alive but you're not "living".

oh, sorry I didn't answer to your post earlier Salt. My health is still just as bad, but I did all sort of exams last week and I should be able to know what the heck do I have.

This is probably a drill, cuz Koreans are smarter than that. XDQuote from NiNmArSDunno but the protests are somehow retarded for not passing through sideways. (Im not sure why, maybe because it's just a drill or somehow the police have da gunZ)
The way how the cops neutralize the protesters in the drill was pretty badass. XD

That's what I got as what the animator wanted to say. But honestly it was an oversimplification of different stages of a person as he grows older, and nothing more. It broke down the complexities of each activity into something that makes them seem silly, perhaps to make a point, but the point is lost on me when it's this immature.
You can probably go as far as having it represent the levels of desire that humanity has gone through as it has evolved and how it will go as it continues to evolve, first giving in to the most natural needs, until we yearn more and more to satisfy our more intellectual wants, and ending up with a less exciting future. I doubt this is it, though, because just reading the title "Dead Life" is a Dead Giveaway about how whiny this is is going to be.
