Anyone caught news of this Ahmed Mohammed bomb clock hoax thing? What do you guys think?

My social media has been bombarded with this news so I'd rather not talk about it again.

I will say this: while he shouldn't have been arrested, I don't blame the teacher for making the judgement call, and the Ahmed kid is no inventor: he basically got the innards of a walmart clock and put it in a case.

Yeah I agree with you. I just find it annoying that any ounce of speculation is met with backlash. It's like political correctness is forcing us to see things in black an white.

I never watched Clannad: AS.
And yes, only the most heartless person wouldn't at least tear up when they watch that movie.

I missed the entire point of the movie so I ended up getting pissed at the kid for being a kid and I thought that he deserved everything he got.

what I think, primarily with 4:30-5:30 The problem is this generation consists of mindless liberal drone SJWs that don't consider facts before they get up in arms and pass judgement (I would know, because I see them every single day at university). The guy at 5:00 highlights this.

It was weird how authorities didn't act like there was a bomb.
They didn't evacuate everyone in the premises nor call a bomb squad.

From what I understand there wasn't a bomb though, so there was no need for any of that huffy bull shit.

I got in trouble for taking a necklace to school that had a fake bullet on it, they suspended me for a week because I was "spinning it around dangerously!" Even though it wasn't even real. When the truth is I was seven and had no idea anything was wrong. The way the adults reacted was stupid then and it's still stupid.
Don't get me wrong, someone could easily manipulate a child to walk into a school with an explosive and to do something truly destructive, I appreciate that we have plans in case we have the chance to see a massacre coming. But our society doesn't have the sort of psychopaths capable of doing such a thing on its radar anyways, because of our continued lack of support for mental health care and apathy for our fellow mans struggle.

Generally speaking, if some asshole is going to cause destruction because our culture has driven them to their wits end we're too busy acquiescing to the same system that produces these results, we're going to get blind sided. It happens time and time again here in America, some dickwad slaughters a whole audience because they're just done with life.

Regardless of if we decide to overreact or not; regardless of what rules we make, because it's cultural.

Do you honestly think the bomb squad would even have the chance to be called, that these drills would have the chance to be implemented if someone wanted to wreck real havoc? No way, the kid would just walk into class, set down his backpack and BOOM!

Unless your schools actually checked your shit, but you could still just blow them up at the entrance and kill tons of people queued up for checks.

Authorities should've taken precautions as they're aware that a kid brought this "bomb" to school.
Also, the incident could've been avoided if he didn't reassembled a clock to look like a bomb.

I mean if he took it through his earlier classes before and then got in trouble with the one teacher, after being pestered about it plenty --which is the impression I got from watching the video-- it's no fucking wonder he wasn't being responsive to the teacher. At that point it would have been a simple matter for that teacher to find out by the other teachers once the drama starts that it's actually just a clock.

So tell me, why would they get the bomb squad involved or run an evacuation over something they know is just a clock? You can't convince me that making a circus out of a mistake would have in any way ameliorated the issue.

In my opinion:
Then what is the problem here? The kid didn't deserve to be arrested? Like, maybe not, but this is the USA that kid only got inconvenienced for a few hours really. It's not like he experienced the prison rape scene from american history x, or anything like that. Was the teacher in the wrong to get the police involved, also no, because even though it's a cartoonish depiction at best to the untrained eye it looked exactly like what you'd think a bomb would.

This is one of those no harm no foul situations that the racists and SJW's are going to be bitching about to each other for some time, because both those demographics feed on this sort of shit.

That's as far as I'm willing to take this topic.

Lately every time I see a response from Jutsu regarding the various social and political topics occasionally brought up here I find myself in total agreement and don't feel I have anything to add to the discussion. It's like 5 for 5 now.
