I would much rather have the shit beat out of me that go through paperwork

the beating will heal in a week or so, but the paperwork will follow me forever.

Beaten an inch from your life healing in a week? You could be incapacitated for months dude. However, I agree, still better than the alternative.

Have you guys had that random chat with some random guy sitting next to you on a very long commute home? It gets you to understand new perspectives on things. Things I usually don't understand and sometimes they give some good advice.

I talk with a lot of strangers at work. They come in all over the place and I'm always friendly, so I get into chats with a whole lot of interesting people. It's a perk of the job :o

Its weird a bit for me since I have below average people skills. Usually they start the chat, especially just recently when I got stuck in traffic. A man and his kid sat next to me, he seemed to be friendly and just opened up to talk. I nodded at first just to be kind, and when he cracked a joke it was all chat after.

He gave me advice on work, commuting and shared stories. I only shared so few. I felt as though I didn't give as much in return.

Yeah, I know people have stories of their own and I usually shrug off the thought of knowing but then they just appear, chances to see into people's stories and it just brightens up your day a bit, giving new insight on the events around.

Nah it's super easy, be kind and friendly. Every person you meet is a friend waiting to happen.

Seriously. Even Nish didn't get it

It was a Rick and Morty reference.

Unfortunately that also means that the reference implies that I will be leaving soon

Hey to be fair, I've never seen Rick and Morty.

@Jutsu I get anxious, and anxiety is probably not good for conversations. Plus it seemed like he was sighing over the phone which was kinda a downer.

I get where you're coming from, trust me.

When talking to a complete stranger I have no idea who they are and that makes me anxious, but I'm not anxious with my friends. So I just assume that person will be friendly with me, almost like they're already my friend. But maybe that's fucked up. What can I say, most people will follow a lead and we end up having a great chat.

I used to be like this but then I started to become much more sociable (Comes with being the new kid at least 5 different times). However, for some reason, I still hate using the phone when I'm not calling a friend or something. I dunno, it makes me nervous.
