Well, not the trite ones anyway. And there are a lot of them. But I especially like the Order of the Stick and Legend of Maxx. The first one for its inventive writing, humour and engaging story and the latter for its overall sense of fun and colourful characters.

Just started reading Order of the Stick and it's pretty good.

Went to Subway today. A transient drug addict woman walks up to me asks me for a sandwich and I comply. She buys a footlong with double meat, double cheese, guacamole, and a bunch of shit, along with a large drink and bag of chips, costing me about 20 dollars. She sits down somewhere, uses the empty drink cup which she hasn't filled to crush up some heroin and some other druggie garbage. Takes out a syringe, sucks up the heroin, and stabs herself in the leg with it. She asks me for 20 more dollars (which I of course refuse). She didn't take a bite out of the food I bought her or anything. Left a mess on the table and left the store. I talk to the worker and he's like, yeah she just comes in here and begs people for money and does this shit a lot.

It's frustrating when acts of kindness get shrugged off, or even made routine by someone aiming to take advantage of you.

And people wonder why it's hard to help strangers.

Can someone get this to stone? We need to kickstart the initiative to save RHGs and improve on them.

Only orphans fight in death duels because their parents never taught them about sticks and stones.

Another great video from him on content creation again. Useful for all those looking to direct or film projects in the future.

Speaking of kindness to strangers, my entire city has turned into the Justice League because of the recent floods. Unfortunately there is no attention from the international or even the national media even though hundreds of people are dead, thousands are lost, displaced, freezing, stuck without medical care or starving, and hundreds of millions of dollars of property damage. More importantly there is no electricity or internet or phone signal, so no one is able to call for help or tell their loved ones they are ok. But I'm so fucking proud of these people here, normal people who are working tirelessly to save the city. We've been sending out food packets, rescuing people from their rooftops, reviving animals, transporting fuels to generators from hospitals. This is unprecedented volunteer work from just every day citizens, and since it would be out of character for me to gush over how proud I am of my fellow city-folk in person, I will gush on Stickpage where none of them can see me.

I'm watching the homestuck let's reads and I love it. The sophisticated randomness, the constrained mindfuckery and the overall deadpan comedy makes it a unique experience. The CoLabHQ also did a very good job at it.

That's great nish! It's good to see people volunteer to save others in a time of need.

Life is weird. A year ago I was in mexico mourning someones death, a year from that I was sitting around doing nothing in a depression because of that person, and the year before that i met her. And now, for the first time in years, i feel like life is progressing in a way I want it to. Its just odd looking back on experiences like that when I thought that it was the worst thing that could have happened to me and that I would never recover, and now, i wouldnt be who i am if it hadnt happened.

And now that Im working almost full time and looking at colleges and planning my future, its just weird to realize that Im only 19, yet about a fourth of my life is over. Seeing how much time I wasted over the years is almost motivation for constant self improvement because you never know when you're going to die, and i dont know about you guys, i want to go at my best, not my worst.

I didn't sleep last night, so this little speel is a result of that.

Wow, that definitely gave me a new way to look at my life.

Thanks man.
