I'd like to see one of those "Taken" type movies, or the kung fu ones, where the protagonist fights through the 5,000 Flaming Fists of the Fo Kyun or whatever. But at the end, he doesn't save the president's/prime minister's/friend of a friend's daughter, and she dies. That'd be interesting, to see the conclusion after such a terrible end to his mission.

There've been various shows and games that have played with that formula. It usually ends with her being Dead All Along. But there have also been the failed types as you mention, I just can't name any examples right now. Even worse than that last one is when you or the protagonist has to kill the damsel to forward the plot.

Ooooh, I like that last part. I wish you could remember some examples because I think this kind of subversive stuff is pretty cool.

Actually, I did make a thread about this.

http://forums.stickpage.com/showthread.php?63991-Feminist-Frequency-The-Damsel-in-Distress

The 2nd video has tons of examples, but these are all video game examples.

Movie examples I can think of so far are Se7en and Gladiator.

Oh yeah, I remember Se7en! I never got to see it, but the ending got spoiled for me so I know what happened anyway.

The fact in Oggy and The Cockroaches is that some episodes actually end with Oggy beating up the cockroaches. But they will usually win most of the time. Same thing for Tom & Jerry but it's just less frequent.

Now when you said so, I just realized about it. On Oggy and The Cockroaches, I prefer Oggy. But on Tom & Jerry, I always prefer Jerry - although in different cases they decided to make a friendly moments, I could just prefer both. Same goes to Oggy and The Cockroaches from their Christmas episode (if I'm not wrong, the title is 'A Truce for Christmas').
The main thing for me when watching both of them is their main fights and the happily-ever-after-kinda ending, mostly. :p

Wow, they really practiced hard to copy the MMD exactly as it appears. Or is it the other way around?

maybe they did a process similar to rotoscoping?

This is just too accurate it's scary

Wow I just finished watching that movie. I think it's still worth watching it even though you already know the ending. I don't know, but it's definitely one of those movies that I will watch again sometime.

Anyone watch cartoon TV shows when your older and get some of the mature jokes that the writers kind've sneak in?

They play with children's innocence.

I think the generally accepted idea is that they put those in so it'll be easier for the adults to watch.

It's especially noticeable in family films. The writers sneak in some more adult humour to keep the adults interested as well as the kids (otherwise they would just fall asleep halfway through).

I honestly don't get the joke, lol.

My guess is that the kittens were splashing in a bag of holy water to get into heaven, but I'm not too sure. Were they murdered? I thought it was just a wet pussy joke at first. I'm probably over-thinking this, hah.

EDIT: My god, it took me too long to get that. That's some pretty dark thinking for Tom and Jerry.

Someone put the kittens in a bag and dropped them in a body of water so they'd drown

It is pretty macabre
