Watching it on the big screen is better dude, i'd say that you should go for it.

I guess if you're really onto the Deadpool character (which is pretty much humorist kind of antihero and pretty narcissistic), you can get the idea of "breaking the 4th wall" kind of jokes, and would like to see him in action movies, I think you should give it a taste. Still, it's up to you~

That's one of the legal ways of watching a movie, yes. In fact, it's encouraged to buy DVDs of a movie you like to show support to the creators. So they can make more.

Even so, DVD's seem to be on the decline, since streaming (legally or not), is much easier (and depending how often you use it cheaper). The only statistics I could find were from Netflix, but I wouldn't be surprised if within the next decade disks become pretty much what VCR tapes are to us right now.
