that's how I felt when mutton was banned. You can't really argue logically against it, though. I'm fine with Douchington gone, he was a terrible member.

I also considered Cosmonaut, but I don't think it counts if they asked for it.

He was unbanned, wasn't he? Yeah, along with Kveyo. I did that.

The least you could do is say something before pulling the goddamn trigger, give me that at least.

I agree. I post a rant about how much I hate him before leaving work, and by the time I get home he's banned permanently? What the fuck?

I've seen index and arch-angel both complain about his behavior before. Did either of you ever PM him? Has anyone actually told him his behavior won't be tolerated and he'll be banned if he keeps it up?

Recently he's been acting the same way he always has, and you guys never did anything about it. You let him get away with it for months. Then without warning, without giving him a chance to straighten out, you just ban him permanently?

I hate how he's been acting but he seems to legitimately feel bad, I don't understand how a ban absolutely out of nowhere is the proper way to deal with this. I'm surprised I'm saying that after everything else I said about him, but come on. Unless some behind-the-scenes mod shit has been happening and you guys have warned him several times, I don't think it's fair. Not that I'll miss him, but objectively I don't see how this makes sense from an administrative point of view.

GD, if you're reading this, make an account and PM me. or send me a message on AIM if you have it.

general douchington currently has 12 separate infractions
Quote from stone
But I, as well as many many productive members ( or those trying to be ) are getting fed up with these seemingly unwilling to cooperate users. I've given enough time and have seen enough infractions to those who have been given enough chances.

From this point on, I'm implementing a more-strict regiment on multiple offenders and those who just flat out think they can run-over all rules and regulations on the forums. To give a prime example, "General Douchington"

I think we can all agree that he's been running rampant, for the most part. I also see and recognize many of you have given him valid infractions as well as temp bans which seem to come to no effect. With this, and the time been given and understanding of changes that would take place, I feel its fair to ship this place up and organize it into a healthy and productive community. If that means banning some of its long-time users those choose rather to 'abuse' rather than 'use,' then so be it.

Thoughts?

I agreed with his decision to ban GD in that thread, but at that point he had actually already banned him.

I brought up how we used to have a section specifically for deciding what to do about very problematic members, but I agree with a lot of what you're saying, Exilement. I'm thinking I'll elaborate (once stone replies) about wanting them to get a final, clear threat of permanent banishment if they don't immediately shape up. That's what the NTF did. (Or at least, what they basically did to me.) If the NTF just banned me without a warning, I would not be here today.

If literally anyone other than General Douchington or Chunky had this happen to them, I would've seriously disputed stone. But I really think General Douchington has been exceeding the limits of shitposting for far too long, so it didn't strike me as very uncalled for. He lost his privilege to stay on this forum kind of obviously.

I think he has too, and if he doesn't change I say good riddance. But he said he feels bad, he started talking about suicide.. it's not like he called us faggots and then left, apparently what I said made him realize how much he annoys people here and he regrets it.

Am I convinced that's true? Not entirely, but I don't see why he'd lie about it. He's been here for 5 years, plenty of people take shit for granted until they lose it. Maybe he can change.

Either way mods and admins have procedure to follow, and unless 12 infractions is suddenly the new cutoff for a permanent ban, he should have been warned first. Like I said, I won't miss him, but I will have a problem with an administrative team that goes from largely ignoring a problem to completely eliminating it without warning.
