OP here
From what I have seen this thread has stopped addressing the question of whether the bible allows homosexuality or not and is adressing whether the bible should allow homosexuality or not. At least that is what I am seeing.

Jutsu's answer is pretty much the best you're going to get from us. It would take a professional theologian to add any more on the original topic.

That is probably the single greatest compliment I've ever been given on this site.
Thank you, Zed.

I hate when this thread pops up, it makes me uncomfortable bisexual male.
The bible does have translations pointing towards homosexuality being a sin.
Leviticus 18:22 says not to lie with man the way you lie with woman. Says it counts as sin.
Later says should be punishable by death.
There are others that do seem to point away from homosexuality. But if I am correct, there was somewhere where the bible says the New testament is law, rather the old. Not saying to completely disregard the old, but I guess the new testament is the way to go? lol
Which it doesn't state a lot about homosexuals.
My issue with all this is that people try to force their religious practices on others constantly. Just because the bible says it, doesn't mean everyone has to follow it, because not everyone is part of that religion. If a religion said that all men must be sentenced to death at the age of 30, there is no way anyone outside that religion will listen to it. It's a practice among those who follow it, if a homosexual man does not follow the Holy Bible, then they should not be forced to abide by its rules and laws. But this thread always causes conflict and really is a stupid debate in my opinion because it always says the same thing everytime it comes up.

I find that quoting the bible is never a good way to prove a religious point nowadays, but I suppose that's an entirely different argument.

Barring Jutsu's need to always get the last word in, this thread has definitely run its course. All the answers you could ever hope for are already in the thread's discussion.
