What if in this exact moment, right where you are as you're reading this, you learned that a zombie outbreak had begun and that there were at least 200 highly infectious zombies for every town in the entire world?

-These original zombies will infect at least five people each, thanks to its virus being airborne. These are the only zombies that will ever exist who spread the disease through any other way than physical contact. The rest will have to spread it the old fashioned way.

Using people you know irl, your money you have on hand and the resources you have available to you, what would you do to survive the ensuing chaos of a beginning zombie outbreak, and then the following 1 year that it will take for the virus to slowly eradicate itself?

-School campus
-people either panicking or enthusiastic of the bloodshed
-we'd barricade since the nearby piazza is overrun
-school cafeteria is closed atm (night)

We'd probably stay inside for a bit before turning into a ravenous mob that overruns everything like a horde of locusts with the expertise of the swiss pikemen.

Well, if that happens right now, I have to gather up some weapons from the kitchen, get some food and take my phone for communication. Using my phone, I would contact some of my friends to gather at a place.
IF the police station is empty, no one's in that place. The team would have to loot all stuffs including guns, first-aid kits, foods and money.
Just need to stay away from the huge cities and if I find a house, my friends and I would live there a few days and go on..

But, right now it's night. More dangerous because you can't see in the dark, so stay inside until daytime..

Grab my shotguns that's under my bed with the one case of shells that I keep next to them, if I have time I'll remove the slugs that prevent more than 3 bullets in them at a time (it's a hunting law) and then I would call my friend if cell phone towers worked... Hop in my car and use side streets to get to him, because let's face it high way in Chicago is already bad enough without having problems, after acquiring my two friends I would set out down south a bit to the nearest gun store and take anything I can get my hands onto (I would buy, but let's face it everyone is going to be looting and no one in hell is going to pay for anything in this situation)... Them hopefully we can weapons and ammo (need more than two 12 gauges with only one case of 24 bullets that can at most carry 5 shells in them at a time)... If we get weapons and ammo we will set off to go North to where it's too cold for human/zombie life to get to and along the way get died rations and water

If we can't get weapons and ammo we will have to save ammo as much as possible and go farther south to the gun store which should have weapons and ammo (small ass town near it and not known well by the city) and then proceed to original plan

Im now at work and in the city. Theres higher population here then in the smaller cities next to this. I work 5 minutes away from my home and midway is a grocery store. First of all Id grab my laptop and get the fuck out of here. I espect total chaos outside fire. people. Everyone gone crazy. Id go to the grocery store grab whatever the fuck I can *Mostly the canned stuff.* and head back home. Hopefully I made it or I already got infected. I live on the second floor and the door is thick as hell. Sadly theres a hospital not far away from me. I am especting the most of the cities population there by not due to bites and other stuff. What I would do now is cover the windows, check the news on my laptop and check all the food. Id put buckets on my balkony with water. Id fill everyting with water what I can. Now this settled I wait until the chaos is over. Im especting it to take a month before stuff calms down. Hopefully I have enough food for a month. Most likely not. What I would do to get food is this. I like in a terraced house. Its shaped like a rectangle and in the center there are garages that we can use for our bikes and all. And the jard is closed off with big iron gates. What I can do to get food is looting the whole yard. Climb the balcony to the top check out the houses. I think there is a big change that I can find alot in these houses. Hopefully this are zombies that can climb stairs. If they can id remove all the steps from the stairs.

Now that everything hopefully calmed down after a month I try to figure out where to go. I need defense against bites. So what I need it an iron mail like they used in the middle ages. or just really thick clothing. Anyway, I think Id be heading to the sea and get a sail boat and some fishing rods. Stay somewhere near the coast. and fish and sit my days off. But I would use the first month to think of these plans as what to do.

I'm at home where the shops aka supplies are pretty far away so I'll probably not live long. Not to mention guns are pretty much nonexistent at my country so yeah. Also given that I'm not fit in any way I can't probably swing a blunt weapon hard enough so that it'll kill the zombies.

If a zombie apocalypse broke out, I think I'd just except the end of society, so I'd probably grab hold of whatever weapons I could and see how long I'd last in the open. Or if I was in some sort of survival team, I'd just be the "I'll distract em" person. I want to die with guns blazing and and laughing like a madman.

Contact all important friends to come over at my place and then set up a plan in 10 minutes or less. Give each member of the "Team" a role and see to it that they are fit for such a role(Barricades, Supply gathering, Weapon crafting, Manager, Warehouse checker, etc.). Keep voices low, set a curfew, turn off all lights, take off all cellphone batteries, and keep a schedule for each member to be a watcher from the 2nd floor.

Once everything's secured and tight, set up traps and emergency exits all around. Train everyone hand to hand combat and at the very least, kill someone. If we do make it after a year since the outbreak, considering that we've already gathered enough supplies to be secured, it's time to slowly clear the area around our base from the threat or "Zombies". Use of firearms isn't allowed unless necessary and at most possible, must be used far away from the base.

Lastly, continue planning, keeping up communications, and managing everything.

I actually live in a Chernobyl-like place, so I guess zombies wouldn't even come here, cos they'd think it's already infected.




Other than that it's a pretty decent location to be in a case of an outbreak. It's quite distant from really populated areas, there's like 8 shops in a 3km radius, there's only two roads coming from the main part of the city and both of them can be seen clearly from a rooftop. Also, there's a gym nearby so as long as I'd get the picks on all the chicken breasts from the stores, I could just live here 4 ever.

Grab my machete and the house pistol and try to get somewhere safe.
Then die like a moron.

I'd probably freak out and be eaten by a zombie I didn't know was hiding in all honesty. Since the first thing I'd try to do is contact family you know?

I would take the phone, a pistol and some needed supplies that I would find at my home, I have some shops near my house so yeah, easay to get there, also grab a dew and then run to my friends, staying ina group is safer in my opnion, Man u scared me, I gotta check the TV now...

Speaking of which, seeing as this is a zombie apoc thread; would it be better to be in a group, or alone? The minimum to be a group is 2 so there.

Have a pair.

Solo is good if you're really confident in your survival skills but you can never know nature. Too much would burden you and the team, given that zombies multiply by biting. The more you are, the higher the threat is. Having a pair would be the best as both can watch each others back and if someone gets in trouble, the other can help out.

Or they can ditch you and save themselves.
