The journey through central stickpage.

Chapter 1: Before the beginning

I wake up, my eyes barely open and my body leaning heavily on the bed. "Just another casual day," I say, my face breaking up into a smile. I fling myself out of my resting place and onto the floor. I stand up, grab the water bottle on my desk and pour it on my face. Having finally broken out of my exhaustion, I open the door.

The air was clam and the sky was blue. It was yet another day here, in the place I love most; Stickpage. I grab my notes, leave my house and venture onwards. My newest friends were waiting patiently for me. I finally arrived at a local clan; The pathfinders. I walked in, but something wasn't right. Hacks wasn't there. Scypher wasn't there. No-one was. I quietly closed the door and went to XY.

Thank goodness things weren't like my last experience. I should have known; Pathfinder and XY members were discussing privately. They both formed an alliance recently. I stepped in quietly, making sure not to disrupt this secretive conversation. I sat down beside Scypher and made my presence realised.
"Maniacon my man! Nice to meet ya bruh!" I did NOT expect that reaction, but Scypher speaks that way.
"Not now Scypher. My apologies everyone. You may continue with your private conversation."

Upon leaving the room, I went to central stickpage. Andre was waiting for me. "Right kid, let's test your defence skills." He drew his hammer. I needed to withstand his onslaught or at least stay conscious. I slowly stepped back. Andre charged at me. I tried to defend myself, but to no avail. he had injured me so much that I could barely move my left arm. "Your worthless. I'm not impressed."
Why did Andre have to be so strict? Surely he knew I would be marauded by that hammer? I steadily left the room, hiding my face. Having had that experience, when I thought no-one was looking at me, I burst into tears. I sat down on the floor with my hands covering the majority of my face, unaware that one person had came to check on me. I felt someone touching my arm. "What is a poor soul like you doing on the soiled floor?"

I looked up, and there stood Camila.

Camila. It petrifies me the cult following you seem to have acquired.

Anyway!

To begin with, don't feel bad about this because I think every writer here has heard this at some point, but you really need to dive into the details here and slow things down. It's like watching a glare covered TV while someone's holding the fast forward button, but again, everyone's made his mistake and that's perfectly fine! It just gives us somewhere to build off of!

The first step in breaking the habit is just to take an event and slow the entire thing down. This is especially true when settings are changing, or else you could lose your readers.

I walked in, but something wasn't right. Hacks wasn't there. Scypher wasn't there. No-one was. I quietly closed the door and went to XY.

Thank goodness things weren't like my last experience. I should have known; Pathfinder and XY members were discussing privately.

I walked in, but something wasn't right. Hacks wasn't there. Scypher wasn't there. No-one was. Maybe it wasn't a casual day after all... Anxiety building up in my core, I quietly closed the door and went to XY. An ally of Pathfinder, if something happened to them they'd surely know.

I could feel paranoia coil and constrict my body the entire journey to their doors, but as soon as I pushed through them I just felt like an idiot. Thank goodness things weren't like my last experience. Making my way inside their headquarters, I tried to swallow a quivering breath, terrified they'd see my concern as weak. I should have known; this wouldn't have been the first time my clan came here to have a private discussion with theirs.

Not the best example, but I hope you can at least see what I mean a little!

Just try expanding on your stories and hopefully I'll be able to expand on this as well!

And again, I've been guilty of this too, so don't beat yourself up too bad!
