I spent just under fifteen minutes writing and rewriting the same introduction and realized I hate doing that. So I gave up and this is the result.

I'm Caelo, that one noob who knows nothing about animation and is only here because she thought it'd be cool to give it a shot, watch some fights, etc, etc, etc. Then I found out there was a whole community about this stuff, and whaddya know, I'm here, and more than a little excited.

I'd say it's nice to meet you all, but I haven't met any of you yet. cx

So... yeah.

I call everyone I meet "bro". I don't really bother with using different terms for different genders.

Butterscotch is correct, though I'm pretty sure I still am one. ;)

And DeMo, I appreciate the welcome, fellow new person. cx

Don't mention it. I'm one of those guys who just waits for forums to get updated while studying FL Studios 11. Naturally, I'd see your post and welcome you instantly

-fluffs- gurl powah.

Now, in all honesty, people, I'm a tad new to animating and I'm pretty curious in what stuff I should use, all of that jazz. I'm stuck on a mac, so my options are limited, but I want to just get out into the world of hard knocks. cx

Any advice, folks?

Don't worry, I'm new in this matter too ^^

Well, since I'm using flash I would recomend you that... if you weren't a mac user, since I don't know if that program works or have a version for macs... .-.

Maybe you could try pivot...? Even if it more simple and limited (for what I read here) than flash I have seen some cool animations with that, though I'm not sure if it works on mac either...

If you're gonna use flash use CS6. People talk as though flash 8 is somehow better, but the first time you crash - and you WILL crash if you use flash 8 - you'll be soooowwwwwyyy.

Um... I don't want to initiate a dispute or something but, I started with flash 8.... and is not that hard to use, you know? o.o

And it is actually better than older versions since it gives you more tools to play with and freedom at the time to animate...

CS6 isn't older, it's the newest version. It offers all the features of flash 8 with a few notable improvements such as auto-save - and it doesn't crash nearly as often (very important point).

Welcome to the Madhouse, lass. I suggest that you check out both the animation and the written sections of the forum. Some people (like me for example) are not really fond with animation, but find writing at ease. Also, I peeked on your location, and... è interessante avere un italiano sul forum. Penso che sei la seconda di sempre, e io so qui da 6 anni.

Benvenuta C:

Uh... maybe that have something to do with your computer capacity...? Since I installed it (and that was like a month ago), it haven't crashed once :/

And I think we should stop with this, the thread is suposed to be for welcoming new users and we both are starting to argue, which is precisely what I was trying to avoid... -_-
