The game isn't actually as scary as the first one anymore.

Was watching Aseplayer playing the game on stream. Was more funny than horrific when multiple people are in TS3 catcalling Ase.

Fnaf 2 focused less on scaring you and more on making the game difficult as fuck.

This.

I'm like literally stuck on Night 1. The fucking music box runs out at the exact moment Freddy The Second is standing at the front hall. I check the music box, Freddy kills me. I avoid Freddy, the marionette kills me.

This game is harder than the first game. They made it harder that it's less scary, the game is more frustrating . There are more animatronics to worry about and since the gameplay is similar as the previous game, you have lesser control over this game making you a lot more vulnerable than before. Scott should have made the difficulty of the game a bit easier so the experience would be more balanced.

Not to mention there are now a lot more of them roaming around at night than in the first one.
Now there's a total of 10 animatronics that you need to watch for.
There's just a lot more strategy to this game.

No? All you have to do is just windup the music box, check the light, and put on the mask. Even less complicated than the first one.

It's hard to fail at making a game slammed full of jumpscares and nothing else.

Maybe...if you're just looking for a good scare. I find jumpscares to be a cheap anti-horror affair if spammed incessantly.

BUUUT, I will agree to the pt that FnaF is actually a good horror game or well rather a breath of fresh air in the sea of mediocrity. It's probably one of the more prominent indie horror games that isn't an adventure game that really tried to stand out. Markiplier put it bluntly (not in exact words cos I forgot), the horror comes from the anticipation, not what to anticipate. And only few horror games who operate under randomness can truly pull that off without becoming cheap.

What I am merely proposing is the thought of having FnaF clones that will ruin this concept in the way Slender clones just ruined it for Slender. Off tangent though, Slender already ruined it to begin with my making the creepypasta/video series into a game format but I digress.

That said, I am just fucking pissing it at Chica 2.0 especially with that beakless mouth and the fact that it is now more undesriably female in appearance. Dat smile...

Has anyone watched the Game Theory video on the inspiration behind FNAF?

Yeah.

It was pretty good. If only the theory wasn't shot down after a month or so.
