Before Marcus could tell Boris to back away, the large bird had already knocked him out of the sky. The angel didn't hesitate when Boris fell, as he kept flying after the bird. He knew Boris would be alright, but he couldn't risk losing Liss over a reckless act from their friend. As the bird picked it's speed up, so did Marcus. With another jolt from his wings, he was rocketed even faster after the bird. He wouldn't risk Liss' life by doing anything to the bird that would cause it to let go of her.

Stretching calmly, Lissette smiled looking at Marcus until she heard someone scream to get down. Liss got down and felt as if a mountain had soarded over them, but when she stood back up to look she was instantly swept off her feet. It took a moment to realize what was going on. She was flying! But She was a human... Was she angel?! A grip tightened around her arms as she was shifted to having her entire body held onto. No... She was pray, for something. Gripping hard onto the bird she reached out as the ground became small. Fast. "MARCUS!" Looking up Lissette tried her damnedest to try and get out of the grip but it was no good. Leaning down she opened her mouth full of razor sharp teeth and bit down on the large claw of the bird trying to get free. Looking out she saw Boris and Marcus getting smaller, and smaller as she was being pulled away from the group. She wanted to shift into something smaller and try to escape, but at this rate she didn't want to be held any differently. "I'll be okay." She whispered as she held on, and just waited.

The bird could barely feel the bite that Liss made, as it's talons were made of hard skin. The bird was also given orders by it's master to not let the woman go, no matter the reason. Boris' falcon was still rendered useless in fast flight, barely achieving 30mph. The beast was becoming a simple dot in the sky, however there was another dot that radiated lots of light. Marcus was now next to the bird beast, flying at speeds that rivaled it's own. Marcus was eager to save Liss' life at any cost, however the beast would not allow it to be so easy.
Another mighty caw, and the beast flapped it's wings, one smacking hard across Marcus' back. The strength and speed at which it hit him was remarkable, and it had enough power to send the male toppling down to the woods. It was at this point that the bird took the opportunity to dive down into the woods, somehow maneuvering through the trees even with it's large mass. By the time Marcus would regain his balance, the mighty bird beast would already be out of his line of vision.

Boris and Marcus had gone after the huge bird. She didn't see what has happened, but one way or another they both will make their way to Worborrow "Let's hurry up!!!" She said to the group as she speeded up her running even more.
In the middle of the forest at night, anyone would have difficulties to just run at high speeds, for Jessica this was as easy as breathing since she could sense branches rocks and trees around her no matter how dark it was, her heavy footsteps allowed her to 'see' with no difficulties.

Marcus fell quite a bit before planing out just above the treeline. As he soared back high into the skies, he didn't see the bird anywhere. It must be hiding its movements in the trees, he thought. But it can not hide from me. What the bird didn't know is Marcus had a way to track Liss, he could tell where she was at, and where she was going. Now being even further behind, he picked his pace up once more in the direction that the bird was taking Liss. He had faith that she would remain alive until he could arrive to rescue her.

Feeling that his falcon isn't picking up enough velocity, Boris retired the falcon and enlarged a crimson cardinal, a much lighter, but faster bird to ride on. He leaped off of the falcon before it shrunk back to its original size and hopped on the cardinal's back. Clinging to its feathers, he gave the bird the command to speed up. The speed of the cardinal was much more satisfying than the falcon, but he feared that it wouldn't hold much damage if the raven tends to strike again.
The raven, now a dot in his view, blew Marcus off of the skies before submerging into the woods. He called upon the avians of the forest to track the raven and stay on its track so Boris can see, through one of the birds' perspective, where the raven's heading. He can hear the rustle of the foliage as hundreds of birds flew in packs to pursue the beast.

It was in that moment that the bird beast got help from an unexpected source. As Marcus began to traverse through the trees in an attempt to catch up to the gargantuan carrier of Liss, a large spider jumped unto his body, wrapping it's eight legs around him as it tackled the male to the ground in a harsh manner.

The spider stomped two of its furry legs onto the angel's arms, pinning him down as it gritted its venom-filled teeth in anticipation of its next meal.
Meanwhile, each and every bird that grew close to the raven was inevitably warded off by its very presence, causing each and every bird to crash harshly into the trees, dying upon impact.

Liss winced as the bird dived down into the forest. "You are one messy bird, you know that? What kinda landing was that?" Liss gripped the bird and looked around for Marcus. "Marcus you shouldn't be out here alone! Go back!" Liss yelled as loudly as she could and heard the several birds. "BORIS YOU TOO! The bird clearly wants me alive! I'll be fine! Just bring the group with you!" Liss munched on the foot again, just to tease the bird. "You also need to clean your feet Mister. Dirt isn't a tasty seasoning. Trust me. I know." Liss wasn't scared, just nervous as to why they wanted her. "Mister Bird. I can apologize if I ate any of your siblings. I can promise they tasted good in their defense." Liss preferred the giant thing to be flying. Being in it's foot and traveling near the ground was... nasty... she just got done washing herself off...

As she ran and paid attention to the things around her, she felt something near her location that just hit the ground. As she got closer to it, she realised that it was a giant spider, and it was attacking Marcus. Not losing time she ran closer to the beast and slashed at it aiming at the head.

Using one of the bird's perspective, Boris was on track with the giant raven, but suddenly every bird went offtrack and collided against the trees. Back to his senses, he grew furious for what the bird did to his flock.
"Hurry, cardinal, we must not lose he-" he was then interrupted by Liss's voice. She's telling him and Marcus to back away from them. He didn't want to pull back as he was close, but didn't wish to risk her life if he refused. He whistled to the cardinal to slow down and land within the forest. The cardinal landed gracefully upon the dark green grass before shrinking back to normal size. Boris hopped off in time and watched the bird fly away.
For now, he's alone in the dark, nightly woods of Worborrow, waiting for his companions to arrive, but in the meantime, he suspects something malevolent lurking around him. Boris unsheathed his staff and readies himself for what's coming for him, but he won't be holding them for long. He can't stay here, but he can't run back either; they'll be expecting a chase if he does.

Septimius had gotten dressed and was simply lying down when the bird had struck. As the massive raven flew over him, the wind smacked his hat off and he had grabbed it before it went in the water. He hurriedly got on his feet as it picked up Lissette and flew away, with Arch and Boris quickly following after. He slung his staff over his shoulder and grabbed his buckler, following behind Jessica. "Not again, not letting this happen!" He grit his teeth, he wasn't going to lose someone again without him trying to save her in any way. He saw Marcus topple out of the air, being attacked by something that looked like a giant spider, as the two crashed into the trees. The raven also seemed to have descended into the forest, but he couldn't see where exactly as its speed reduced it to be nothing but a speck.
He wanted to run after it but it was simply foolishness as how Marcus was in danger and going there by himself would lead to him not helping at all, but rather putting Lissette's and his own life in more danger. He saw Boris descended further on and decided to join him and leave Jessica to help Marcus. His shield was in front of him as he bashed through lashing branches. He broke into clearing and unsheathed his staff as he walked up to Boris. He couldn't place his finger on it, but he walked as to cover Boris' back as he peered into the darkness of the woods.

Jessica successfully defeated the gargantuan spider with a swift blade through it's head. The spider lay limp, rolling away from Marcus. However, there was a feeling of malevolence all around them, and it seemed like it would stay that way until the sun inevitably made it's way up. For Boris and Septimius, there was a sudden spark of activity as one of those ghastly spiders emerged from the darkness, fangs bared and ready to penetrate into skin.
The raven had now long since flown away from contact of anybody on the group. However, it was indefinitely moving toward Worborrow the last that Marcus had seen or felt its presence.

He was first alerted by the sound of rustling leaves and snapping branches and turned his head to face a spider that leapt at them. Whether it was the one who had attacked Marcus or a completely random on he didn't know nor did he care. He spun his body to confront the beast and his shield came up to meet the thing's jaws. He stabbed his staff into the ground to brace for the impact and relied on Boris for the finishing blow.

With Septimius making the first move on the spider and pinning it down, Boris used the pike end of the staff to put out the creature's misery, lodging the pike deep within the arachnid's abdomen. He heard of more of these creatures creeping out from the dark to feast upon their succulent flesh, slowly inching towards them while snapping their drooling mandibles. One lashed out at Boris, but with precise timing, he impaled the foul creature and swung it off his weapon, now oozing with its slimy blood.

Desmond wasn't far behind Septimius and the group. One more crept towards Septimius, one which Ghan swiftly subdued with his fist thrust up its fangs. In another instant, Desmond pierced his sword through one just behind Boris.
"I've got your back, guys." The stitcher called out. "Did you see where Marcus went? I can't be sure even with the goggles."
