I banned EthansEmpire for 7 days (aka OFE aka seislikewc3) because of spam (some spam + arrogant bragging for a while (spam = unsolicited messages)) + chat clears with denials, and because he's been banned twice already, and he gets on BecauseOfWyzDM.
Thirdly, mods don't know how to be mods. You're there to keep the chat clean, not to start drama. Fuck. And Hash. Don't freaking brag about winning in chat.

Well, they are mods so that would probably start more conflict, SE chat is not sophisticated like SP chat. So by mods bragging it could send a message to other members to act like that, which could in the end get themselves banned.

Haha yeah. SP chat (or might as well call it irc) isn't as sophisticated as you think it is, and it's mostly nothing going on except when a few chosen people get on and start a convo.

Bragging matters when it brings up an entire argument on SE chat on it for the next few mins which flamed up chat.

I always try to remember one key focus when I'm modding the chat. I'm trying to keep it civil, clean and respectful.
Sometimes me telling people not to spam when they do it just once actually further derails the chat from those initial goals.
Bragging is going to make people get annoying. I usually also don't respond to those 1200 newbs acting like they're good, because responding just derails the convo.
Hell, I even avoid typing a sarcastic comment to 800 ping laggers in game now, because as stupid and annoying as it is, I want to set a good example being mod.
Our point isn't to ban people, it's the means to keep the chat meaningful. In my opinion bragging or knowingly doing something that will cause flame on the chat is going against our own goal.

I would like to help out as well. Been in love with this game for a year now, what better way to thank the creators than help 'em.
