I don't think it is. Managing a YouTube account requires basic IT competency, the ability to create something yourself and some minimal level of self control. You have to actually commit to uploading a video and you have to commit to editing the video as well.

If someone has a decent YT account under them, they've already demonstrated many qualities that would be useful in an admin.

I still think the two are unrelated. There are many that can edit, have good internet, and make flawless videos that are complete dip shits. Ase was barely active community wise besides YT :P I can understand if someone is endorsed by such game, but I doubt we are paying Ase.

So would a 7 Y/o get to become a mod if he regularly keeps his channel maintained and working? Even if all his videos were him playing minecraft with a poorly set up i phone as the camera?

But really, I guess it does help but that shouldn't be the deciding factor of becoming a mod.

Honestly, I wasn't aware that there was a forum for SE until recently. Otherwise, I'm sure I would of been much more active. Btw my edits aren't even that good so honestly idk why he gave me admin, but I guess he was in need of admins, so he picked me.

Honestly, not the best system, I agree. But it happened so just role with it I guess. CJ is CJ, he can do as he pleases, although I hope there is a better system for other mods too. I get msged daily that people want to be admins yet they constantly swear and spam.

Plus, I friggen love this game. And I don't think anyone is paying me either, unless it is very secretive. >.>

You were also pretty respectable in game (and still can be). Just work a lil on self control. It's only recently we're seen a side to you none of us knew was there.

It's an expression. It means if you're going to be a mod and you're going to be enforcing the rules, you should be applying the rules to yourself.
