I think what we have right now is enough. There doesn't need to be a mod every waking minute, while that's nice. Let's use what we have.

But When the mods are gone . they still spams non stop.

In my view, that's not really that necessary. You can unban him/her whenever you want anyway. And 1 hour ban after warnings is enough for me.

So, is there any sort of rough template we can agree on for dealing with spam? I wouldn't want to go way too lightly or way too heavily compared to everyone else moderating the chat.

Such as warning first, then short temp ban and then ... ect

I think being able to ban/mute from chat commands is much simpler.
like /mute [syntax stuff here]

Would there really be the slightest difference from a chat mute and a chat ban?

I suggest a google spreadsheet that only mods can edit. When someone spams a mod records the name and punishment they gave. This way mods can check whether the guy has already been given warning bans and can deliver the appropriate punishment.

If we need to add a color for chat admins, i vote Hot pink as well.

More like being able to unban them via just having the user name.
