Are you really whining about realism in a game with spring powered flight wings carrying men that can load and fire a 500kg draw weight crossbow in midair?

IF we whined forgive us. Like we said, as suggested we emailed support with the link to this thread so there's no point discussing it further. The replays are there, points have been made, up to devs to look at it.

I think the point is clear that the AI is whack here and needs to be fixed. 12/13 spears this time and couldn't get past first wall. Since all these replays are going to be the same this will be the last one we post here.

Ok, fine I should of put more thought into my example, now in football they don't have enough players to block the entire field, however in a field that is 6 inches wide where 1 stick figure takes about 1/6 of that space it is possible. If you have (I'll use 6 since thats how many guys can stand in a row in the game) 6 speartons who are all in shield wall they are BLOCKING the path to the wall, since a spearton without shield bash cant knock back an enemy they cant push the blocking speartons. But I agree with the logic etc, but if all of that was made so everything was logical then the game would suck and be a wreck.
EDIT: If you had speartons, giants a magikill and albowtrosses that alone should be able to beat a spearton rush. Like you said just stun them when they charge at you when you approach the tower (or wherever they are standing) using shield bash. and use your magikill to destroy them, when they try to retreat or attack the mage the giants will stun them to slow it down and the albowtross with flaming bolt does so much damage.

Going to add another post here to stress how important we believe it is that this bug/flaw be fixed. Basically it renders all rush-type strategies completely impossible against any competent player. There are countless games we have lost (probably 20+, which is a lot!) that we would have won (not counting games coming close) but opponent exploits this bug/flaw either consciously or by accident and it was a waste of ~10min. This is reall, REALLY bad. It must be fixed IMO it's as bad as the spear in corner exploit or worse that was fixed. Just adding another 2 cents here...

Well I don't know what to say, it does seem unreasonable but maybe try a new strategy? Rushing doesn't work anyways at around 1800+

Even though I agree with not rushing that is dodging the topic~
Anyways I think the wall bug should be fixed. There are very fun and easy ways to beat spearton massers anyways, such as stacking sword and raging with a few support units.

Ooops, meant to say massing (you probably knew that). It does work when done properly. Even with this glitch, we routinely beat 1800's and have multiple wins over 1900's including back-to-back-to-back wins against 1900's doing the same spear mass every time. The majority of the time we lose it's because they have giants and/or spears near the wall. Clicking near the wall or on the wall does nothing. The key thing to note here is the AI doesn't auto-focus until units are nearby where units attacking the wall will then automatically run backwards even all the way to a giant to attack it. Even if the wall is on it's last bar which has happened many, many times, units will run backward hahaha.
Note* Have to add... we played a ~2050 twice and the only reason they won was from exploiting this very flaw. With that said, they would probably have a strategy to counter without this flaw BUT, the point is had this been patched without them knowing (and we knew), it would have been as easy as beating a 1200. It's too easy to exploit the flaw for great players that it renders massing unnecessarily useless above 2k+.

- even if wall is down to last bar, units will automatically run backwards to fight (ex. a giant or spear) and no way to get around this right now
- right now anyone can beat 26 spears with 1-2 giants by hiding all important units behind walls. Impossible to get through when done correctly.
P.S. Those replays are old; our peak as of ~12 hours ago is 1781 by literally 100% spear rushing. We went from 1550-1781 in one night without losing a match (except one against the ~2050). Sure it might not work above 2100 but who knows maybe after it's fixed massing will become relevant at the top.

Agreed it is not the most relevant post here but it surely is on topic, the OP is asking how to beat a wall with speartons blocking, and i suggested trying a new strat perhaps, like adding a magikill or some albowtrosses

Ok, you are right. I don't see whats left to discuss of this topic, you listed the bug and why its a problem etc, so after it died down, you decided to bring it back by rephrasing your complaints. That will not solve the problem.
My on the topic response is to contact the devs at their support email or posting here http://forums.stickpage.com/showthread.php?41983-Post-any-Bugs-or-problems-with-the-game-here. Until then I suggest using a different type of playing style.

As far as I know, the devs wanted it this way. I remember you used to be able to directly attack the wall earlier, and now you cannot so I believe it was a nerf. This is fair, as the wall actually is able to server a purpose whereas earlier you can just directly attack it and done. So quite honestly, I don't find it a big deal just get a magikill...

The walls can be poked down easily enough anyway by just standing at the right spot and sniping with arrows.
If the wall is so far in as to be safe from that, you get a whole 4 extra gold mines your opponent doesn't so it's hardly like you're going to struggle.

We encourage anyone who reads this comment to read the entire thread so you understand the truth concerning this matter, rather than individual comments from ones who clearly have not and do not.
@Ase the purpose of the walls are to tank damage and block units from running directly into base. When this bug is fixed, they will be fulfilling their purpose. Right now they can be used as an unpenetrable barrier by players who know what they are doing. I have even done it MANY times against other players.
