The joker is the smartest human character in the DC universe. He is regarded as having "Super sanity" while all the other criminals are just insane.

He is awesome, and heath ledger played him amazingly, the dark knight is the single greatest comic book movie ever made, period. It is in fact my favorite movie to date. He's awesome, and thats why there is a fad.

What I'd like to know is, would everyone have liked the Joker so much had he not died?

I mean, before he died, everyone was going apeshit about how much of a joker he'd suck at being... then he died, and its all of a sudden everone wants him to get an emmy

well, if you look at his other films, you wouldn't think he'd be someone who would be a batman villian, joker..

i never even thought about him being dead until the end of the movie and thought how it sucked that he won't be in the next movie because he did such an amazing job.

That has nothing to do with it at all. Have you seen the movie? I couldn't even recognize heath ledger in it. He disappeared completely in the role. And the joker is so amazing in that movie.

It's not the fact that he died during production that makes him so great, its the fact that he died because of an obsecene and unnatural level of dedication. In the end, he wasn't really just acting, he WAS the Joker.

I wanted to see it before he died. When I heard he died, the very first thing I did was make sure that the Dark Knight was in post-production.
