Maybe Wing Mass counter?

Can someone test this theoretical strat against wing mass?
Mass airs + 1-3 cycloids?
Will it work? Just switch out cycloids when health gets low.

(The reason I did not put this in Pumu's thread is because if it works, it will become an actual strategy. Few will look through thread replies to find strategies in the future. I will edit in the results)

It would work if not for the fact you'll need double gold to get the mass started.

If for some reason you manage to get out a good air mass before the opponent's wing mass then sure, this will probably work.

Therefore its not a "counter" to wing mass. Counters have to be able to be executed after the mass happens. If you are too slow with getting airs out you will get screwed by the fact that wings are stronger than airs, and that cycloids need airs to produce. (queue time basically).

If you start with the overall goal of getting there, than you can accomplish it with the right moves. Just like how the only archidon spammers that ever beat me did not start with archidons, but with a hit and run technique with a sly transition.

Except you can shield archers with ground units like spears and swords. Archers also cost 300 compared to the air's 400 and can kite.

I think this combo is just too costly. If you wanna counter wings charrog fire works better than you think, CHair for archers. If I get the chance maybe I'll try this strategy out.

@IHATETHISNAME, which is why I said they did not use plain archers. I obviously cannot remember full details, but it was hit & run, archers + shadows.
And getting the Cycloid+Air would take practice, which I plan to do once I can classic rank again. After that, I'll try tests.

Charrog Fire can't do anything. Wings can kite and attack out of fire's range. This is the reason wing span is so hard to defeat.
*Might Work on short map, chance of success not good.

ChAir won't work. With that, archers can deal massive damage whilst the airs may only snipe 1-3 as they tend to target the same troops every time. Retreating isn't an option, archers will rekt your miners. And don't forget fire-arrow. In the end, ele will be spending far more gold/elixer than archidon spammers. + They usually get to keep tower spawn.
*Beating archidon spammers on short maps is fairly easy, medium maps is fairly impossible.

When I start archer spam against ele with the overall goal of getting there, I can expect to because archers are cheap and cost efficient. You can't even start aiming for Air mass (due to costs) unless your opponent spams swords for some silly reason.

vs archer spam on every map two cycloids can accomplish so much with your trees constantly spawning scorps to tank and poison fires to shred armored units that approach. im not sure if i just play differently than most i guess
