If you dont know him, well you know him now. He made amazing works like Dead Fantasy and RWBY just passed away because of an allergic freak accident. Rest in peace man, your works inspired many people. Nothing more can be said, check Roosterteeths site if you want to know the story.

Guess no more RWBY I guess. Or at least it's not gonna be the same anymore.

More than the exact technique of animation that he used, RWBY was also an example of how something made with ambition and precision could turn into a cult favorite. It was an endearing show that was clearly made with love and showed that you could be a homage without being a ripoff.

I heard about Monty's death mere minutes after it was posted on the RoosterTeeth page, and I must say, it broke my heart immediately. Monty Oum was an inspiration to me. I love making characters; it's a passion of mine that's been why I've taken to art and animation and writing. It's just how I am. And Monty made characters that were beyond memorable: they felt real. They were relatable. I could love them, I could hate them, I could want to have a beer with them or talk about stupid things. They were just that enjoyable.

And now he's gone. I'm sure a lot of people aside from just his family are saddened by his departure. Maybe RWBY and RvB can continue, maybe they can't, but the memory of what he's done will remain in all his fans' hearts.

I think his work has reached some of us. I mean, I actually see some rhgs here weapons or abilities that are inspired by RWBY. R.I.P

Apparently they're gonna keep making episodes, I'm kind of uncomfortable with that.

I don't mind the fact that the show is going on. I'm pretty sure thats what he would have wanted. It was such a labour of love, that it would be very unfortunate if his untimely death put at end to it.

He died doing what he loved. He poured everything in making his dreams come true. So yeah, may he serve as inspiration to us to do what we want to do.

"The only limiting factor is time."

Can anyone link me the tribute video?

We all will miss him a lot. I'm pretty sure he'd have wanted everyone in Rooster teeth to continue his work. May he rest in peace ♥~

Rest in peace. Even though I don't know you, it is a shame for a good animator to die.
