Eventually i was going to make this so let's begin.
First off.
EvO:
Early game-
The best start for virtually any map for ele is the 3 earth start as it allows you the option of retreating into eco if you fail to fight for tower. On longer maps it gives a max of a free 40 plus due to earth que time and speed. In any scenario, if one spots an enemy archer the wisest decision would be to immediately retreat. (On shorter maps if you expect and archer start send one earth to mid to cap for 40)
After the first initial archer is seen, do not immediately rush into castle air. Your earth units are tanky enough to absorb a few pegs from one archer. if they send a sword to accompany simply lock the sword in by placing one earth on either side of the sword to keep it stuck and impossible for the sword to move away unless you as the ele user should decide to move your earths. Deciding whether to garrison or put weakened earths on mana should be dependent upon the level of health your earth has when it is time to morph. if the risk is minimal to die to melee put it on mana to keep resources going. if it looks like it will die garrison and whilst it garrisoned morph into miner for faster heal.
The enemy will be pushed away by castle air unless he/she likes to lose units.
if the enemy archer is still alive it will be keeping you off of second row no?
this is where you put your extra miner on mana for now that would have gone to second row. purchase a water. the mere presence of the water should push the archer away. if not punish the opponent by teching into tree. placing it to where it covers the second row of gold buying more earths as you place the tree. after rooting the tree use the scorps that will shortly spawn to chase enemy archers.
KEEP IN MIND THAT IT IS UNWISE TO USE DEATHBLOSSOM IF YOU CANNOT GUARANTEE A KILL. PEG ENEMY ARCHERS ONLY TWICE WITH THE MELEE OF ANY SCORP. IF IT RETURNS KILL WITH DEATHBLOSSOM(s).
One can easily ignore enemy melee units by chasing down the enemy archers using only the scorps. your next move should be to tech into hustle and at least one fire. this way if the swords become something you actually need to worry about you can set up a scorch.
If you find that the enemy is massing a lot of a particular unit, namely archer massing you should then be deciding on the best macro decision to counter it.
Your 3 options are:
Infernoes
2 Cycloids
Scorch albeit risky
And if your feeling fancy throw in some V's
The v's should primarily be used for stealing units to tank for you and extra melee support with clones.
Grabbing a spear to turn it against his archers to add a quick tank instead of spending a fire and earth to do so is nice. Same goes with taking shadows. or albows. or magikills <--- the most painful.
Once you have your decision begin to start to close the game off by grabbing your water upgrades. Your decisions on when you tech into scorp ups are up to you if you need time buy them earlier.
the rest of your army should consist of fires to quickly rid self of enemy tanks.
