While he isn't receiving anything for his claims, he is still making serious claims and some of the military-affiliated members have shown disdain towards the act. It may not be infractible, but we can't blatantly ignore it. Around... maybe 25 pages or so back?... he was spamming "PTSD" posts as well.

He was annoyed by the same thing cus apparently in.. america? Idk about you guys, but this kid is not worse than harvie or guitarii, or grim back in the day, and I won't treat it any differently either.

It's not illegal to lie about your military service unless you're actually profiting off of it in some way, that comparison was as retarded as anything Mike is doing.

That said I'm probably going to just ban him once he admits to lying about this. Sometimes it takes a while for people to figure out how to function in an online social environment but our patience and lenience is just making us look incompetent in this case, he's been given enough opportunities to shape up and he's made it extremely clear that he's not going to.

If anyone has a problem with this, speak up now, I'm waiting on his response.

I just hope that when you say "ban" is not like a week/month/forever one, and I can't see why it'd make us look "incompetent". Just because we actually understand that he can't think or do things as others do and ACTUALLY have tolerance towards the kid doesn't mean we're not doing our job, as Jutsu also mentioned, if they all could just ignore him instead of asking him more questions in order to make him say something to flame him for this wouldn't be an issue

I meant a permanent ban, though now that I think about it I can't do it anyway unless it's with a massive infraction. I would have agreed with you a week ago, but he's coming up with more and more elaborate lies for absolutely no good reason. This situation is 100% his fault and I honestly don't blame anyone for being pissed at him for lying about being in the military.

Yes he might have a learning disability, but I've scolded him for lying and I told him to stop constantly putting the spotlight on himself. He's ignored my warnings and advice and now he's trying to lie to me about this, saying he's under orders not to talk about his military service anymore. This is not someone simply being picked on for things they can't control, he's made the conscious decision to lie to the community several times and no one has any reason to trust him anymore. Continuing to expect them to "tolerate" him at this point is kind of ridiculous.

I mean seriously, if the situation is so bad that it can only get better if everyone literally ignores everything he says, then why the hell do we want him here?

I can't agree with an instant permaban, I've also tlked with him by PMs, and I don't know I legit think he can get better with a bit of time...

And are we just going to permaban every person that behave like this within 2 months giving them no second chance? Is the same thing as having a tribunal, just get pressured by a handful of people that dislike a certain member and get him permaban'd forever. I'm ok with the idea of banning him for a week/month, if you want I can do it myself and explain to him the why, and how should he change his behavior in order to don't get a perma. If he doesn't change at all I'd agree with the perma but not instantly.

I don't see how this excuses the fact that he chose to start lying about this shit in the first place. It's entirely his fault that he's lied about his brother using his account and ruined any trust we might have in him. I scolded him for lying and he said he wouldn't do it again, yet here we are.

I asked him for proof that he's telling the truth. Discharge paperwork, a part of his uniform, a medal, anything. You know what he sent me? A picture of him wearing a navy seal hat and some dogtags, shit you'd get in a gift shop. He hasn't responded since. He's maintaining this lie to my face while I'm telling him he's insulting my intelligence if he thinks I'm going to believe this garbage, and I've helped him more than anyone else on this site.

This is absolutely 100% his fault.

No, we're going to do exactly what we always do and treat these situations on a case-by-case basis. No one here is talking about establishing a precedent for future incidents.

I genuinely do not see anything changing or improving as long as he's here. Nor do I see how a month ban is going to correct anything when he's already been banned and we've already explained to him what not to do, yet here he is continuing to do it.

Alright then, I already gave my opinion on this issue. If most of you are agree with the ban, do it.

cami I get it, I thought everyone was being unfairly mean to this guy too, but the lies are completely, 100% his fault. he chose to lie about his brother using his account, he saw how badly that worked out for him, and in response he chose to make a bigger, more disrespectful lie and fight even harder to get us to believe it.

this kid has no idea how to get along with a community like this. we're all better off without him being here, including him.
