But one thing you have to consider, is while the U.S. government does negative things, it still has the power to improve the world as a whole. If we actually made peace and love promoted more in mainstream media, and found environment friendly power sources, and fixed the problems, the world will slowly follow. Like a sibling following a big brother. Everyone inherently wants to be happy and the whole world can agree with that, so if the U.S. promoted happiness and peace it could help the world. So in an opposite perspective, while the U.S. isn't responsible for the bad in the world, it is responsible somewhat for lack of good.

But you have to consider the fact that if the US was to suddenly be happy and pacifist, China and the USSR and other countries will FILL the void that USA leaves behind, and that'll be even worse for the world.

I need to go out now, but I will elaborate on this when I get back if you still that not playing a Big Brother role in world affairs constitute corruption or evil.

Two things prevent a country from war: Military Might and Free trade. Honestly it would probably be for the better if Russia or China just annexes the entire middle east and wipes out ISIS on their own. Then there would be a peace between superpowers, rather than superpowers babysitting rogue countries.

EDIT: I would also like to add, that if the U.S.A. makes progress towards creating a utopia, it would be flooded with even more immigrants, and when the public opinion in countries like Russia and China begins to shift more Pro-American, the governments over there will have no choice but to change policies. Positive influence really does work! It's the reason the U.S.A. grew so fast in the 19th century.

a)USA is not the only global superpower. It is one of them. Also you don't become a superpower by being hipster and huggy. You become that way by exerting power and control. I agree with your general statement that the US has more of a responsibility to behave rationally than some other countries. But my point is this: IF any other country wielded the same power as the United States, are you telling me they would handle it with any more sensitivity than the US Government?

What other superpowers are there? Because according do wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superpower, U.S is considered the only superpower. I personally believe there should not be superpowers. Every country should have equal influence.

But this debate thread is about whether the US government specifically is guilty of certain flaws that other governments around the world are exempt from.

I don't think this thread is about that though. This thread is specifically about the U.S. and whether it's, from the OP's words, "lying sacks of shit." Judging by your previous responses you seem to somewhat agree with this statement. I'm also a bit confused. You also seem to believe that there should be some utopia, but your attitude is more toward accepting that there isn't, which is what I mainly have an issue with.

Saying the US is a "sack of shit" is like saying your class president is a whore because she's not a virgin

there's so much logical possibility for America to plan 9/11 to usurp oil from the East

a few handfuls of people who literally control how much value you have in your bank account

there are people who control our lives

there IS a huge faceless giant corporation thingamajig behind it all. Our Government gets its money from the Central Bank. The Central Bank controls our dollar worth as it's completely arbitrary. And this Central Bank is funded by giant corporations and people. Of course, their role is nothing more than to silently reap the benefits so they'd never blatantly come out and obliterate the stocks with their unrelenting wealth. The silently overtime jack up prices, support certain presidents and buy out Congress.

Political parties were essentially created by Andrew Jackson by his propaganda-like campaign of him

Someone get this guy into a basic sociology course.

You have a marvelously optimistic view of things. Unfortunately things don't work that way in the real world.

You think two countries like Russia or China can JUST decide to annexe the entire Middle East on their own? Don't you know how much political, economical and public will that takes? That kind of a decision will never happen because it is practically impossible.

No one is arguing that there MUST be peace between superpowers. The only difference is that I'm arguing, given our present conditions, that scenario is impossible to unravel. Anyone who has more than just a high-schooler's knowledge of geopolitics will know this for a fact.

Also why does the USA owe the rest of the world some kind of utopia? Your point about public opinion about the USA changing is nonsense, because neither Russia nor China are going to be huggy-huggy just with changing public opinion. A lot has changed since the 19th Century.

The Superpowers we speak of are the USA, the USSR and China. Along with that is a large body of the European Union, closely followed by the Asian groups comprising of India, Singapore, Malaysia and the rest.

Nobody here is interested in what you think superpowers should be. Yes it would be better if there weren't ANY superpowers, but please don't waste the time of the Debate Thread will with what 'ought' to be rather than what actually is.

The OP's words "lying sack of shit" has already been disproved. We have demolished that point and OP has conceded there are many things she did not know about. Please read the whole thread.

As for your utopia comment. Yes I want there to be a Utopia. No I don't think it is possible given the current political climate. I don't see what that specifically has to do with the US government.

I'm making a statement again here. Do not come to the Debate Thread with this tree-hugging "Why can't we all get along" 3rd grader nonsense. Come backed up by facts and figures and actual historic backing for your arguments instead of saying "Lets all be kewl and luv each other yo".

The only thing this tells me is that in the US, he has the freedom to say these things about the inner workings of the government. Speaking from personal experience, if he tried that stuff in any of the 4 countries that I lived in (India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Singapore) he'd either be dead or in jail. I think that proves the point.

Ebola existed for 30 years, but when an american got infected, they "experimentally" cured it in a month. "LOGIC"

What are you talking about? Seriously, this is the debate section. Structure your posts in the forum of an argument that we can actually respond to, provide some evidence of this notion that it was "experimentally cured in a month". As far as I'm aware there is still no cure for ebola.

You're talking about someone having the illness in America, where medical resources are much more advanced and abundant than in areas where people are typically affected with ebola. It's not surprising that experimental procedures would be available to him, and it's not surprising that it would be reported in the media due to the constant attention it was getting for those few months.

Beyond that I have no idea what you're implying because you're posting as if this is the chat thread instead of the debate section.

Ebola was originally an animal disease. It could have existed since long before you were even born but mutated and infected humans recently.

Despite me agreeing with you, you should try to justify your opinion to him. Just calling him a goddamn idiot won't get your point through.

I think Exilement already made the point clearly, and Cook is just adding on to that in his own fashion.

I think I made my point pretty clearly, and you should eat the cheese out from under my nuts, phaggot

I've just seen that argument before, and it's a product of typical american "We win overnight, cure things overnight, everything happens at one marked spot!!"

Like when Cancer received a lot of attention, many people began to complain because they didn't know why it was taking so long to cure, and why the cures weren't 100% effective. It's just that especially in medicine, it takes ages to cure even the simplest of diseases.
