I'm looking for a tablet to animate with, not looking to spend much more than £50
Any suggestions?

I've found this on amazon http://www.amazon.com/Huion-Graphic-Drawing-Tablet-Pressure/dp/B00DKW816K/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1427735969&sr=8-9&keywords=graphics+tablet I haven't tried ordering it yet, but according to the description it seems pretty good. It's $45 american, which should estimate to about £30. I'm not entirely sure if it's all that great though, because I haven't tried it out yet.

my first graphics tablet was a monoprice graphics tablet, it was pretty cheaply made, but if you leave it on your desk and don't throw it around (and don't keep it in a cold place or the plastic cover will stretch and snap off) it should last you more than 5 years. i did all the bad things and it broke in 5 years, which is pretty impressive. oh, It's $40.
Here's a linky link
EDIT:
now i know you said you wanted a cheaper device, but if you want something that is the top of the line, i'd look at Wacom's tablets I have an intuos pen tablet, the touch one is the same but has an added function that let's you use it like a track pad. the one i got was $80 but was on sale for $60. so if you want a better device i'd recommend going for something in wacom's product line up.

I just recently bought a Turcom Tablet for 41 dollars on amazon so Turcom is a good brand for cheap g tablets.

I ordered the tablet i mentioned earlier. Once it arrives in the mail in like a week, I'll let you know if it's good or not.

Or you could not be cheap and get the tablet that I have: http://www.amazon.com/Wacom-Intuos-Medium-Tablet-PTH651/dp/B00EN27SHY/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1428160479&sr=8-2&keywords=medium+intuos+5+touch
But in all seriousness you should probably get a small bamboo tablet. They're cheap and reliable. After you've been doing it long enough and what to invest in your hobby that's when you should look into more serious equipment.

Ok, the tablet i ordered just came in and it works great! It's pretty nice quality especially for it's price, so I'd definitely recommend it.

Just so you know, if it's your first tablet, remember to read the interactions cuz you need to install drivers and whatnot
