Hey everybody!
I go by Chaotic Penguin
but, when that's not available, I use Awesomenee (and occasionally, achaoticpenguin).

Lets just say, that I don't animate. Yet.
I am a huge fan of all the animators, including, but not limited to, Hyun, Terkoiz, Jomm, Ehlboy, Exortine, and many more.
Collabs are my favorite, watching different styles, techniques, skills, all put together into one great masterpiece.
I'm gonna get Pivot, which is hopefully easy enough for me to use.
I hope to work with some of you some time!

On a completely different note:

  • I am asian
  • I am male
  • I am still in school
  • I play Dota 2, TF2, Robocraft, Smite, LoL, and a bunch of other games that I'm not gonna name.
  • That's about it

Is Pivot free? And how much detail you can usually add to animations with it?

Pivot is free. It's a skeleton-based animation program, you can't draw freehand with it. Personally I'm good with it, but it can take a good while to get great.

Yeah, what Waffles said. I think you actually make backrounds with Sticks Lol. It's basic, but a great start to learn Movements and such.

Pencil is for badasses.
And Pencil2D is for even more badasses because it's slightly unstable.

Anyway, welcome to the forum! Make sure you read the rules first and yeah. I hope you'll enjoy here.

Yeah no problem Miketastic!

By the way, AdamMZ, I used Pencil2D, but it crashed while I was messing around. Never got it to work again.

But did you use Pencil? The older and original version of it before someone fork it.

I tried Pencil (Not Pencil2D) and it feels great. But I also use Inkscape and Blender.

Haven't tried Inkscape, downloaded Blender (never found the time and curiosity to try it).

Hm. I probably need to try more stuff.

Blender has a huge learning curve, like most 3D programs, but it has a huge payoff once you get the hang of it. Pivot, with its skeletal animation, would actually be a great preparation for animating in a 3D software.
