how about something a bit different?
i downloaded a ton of classical stuff recently, and i've been really appreciating a lot of it, this song in particular... unfortunately i have no idea who performed the version that i've got, but this one's pretty nice too. if you take a time out and just listen to it, it's like a really well told story
if any animators are looking for inspiration, literally all you have to do is listen to some classical, your plots will write themselves. this one almost made me want to start animating again. then i remembered i haven't got time to do that.

new emancipator album's out!
tchaikovsky's good, but i have the feeling that i don't give him enough credit seeing as he's about as mainstream as classical gets... alongside mozart and bach, probably.

Hahaha mainstream music be getting discredited even when it's centuries old.
Man emancipator is the shit. Which reminds me Nujabes' Perfect Circle was released a couple days ago. It's the final Nujabes release ever. RIP.
I've been listening to this for 2 days none stop on repeat. Halloween spirit got to me too hard.

Franz Liszt and tchaikovsky are pretty good. But I think artists like Chopin do deserve more recognition. I'll post my favorite songs from him later, he was amazing.
How come people stoped making classical music tho?, is so good. I can't think on someone who composes this kind of music. (not counting the movie soundtrack composers).

I'm not a big fan of classical music, and I don't think I'll ever get into it. All I know is that a lot of posers claim that they listen to classical, when in reality they're just a waste of space.
Here's some sick jap rap:

Lots of classical is complete garbage. Usually directionless music that just consists of notes, not melodies. Unlike today, the more obscure composers usually are worse and worse. The big names usually are big for a reason.

i love chopin!
he's one of my favourites, best-tier study music.
i already mentioned that liszt is great, another one of my favourites is ravel. very cinematic performances. there was also a fantastic music video for bolero done for an animation called allegro non troppo. highly recommend all animators watch this.

i think there are still many composers out there, but it's been a long time since we've seen any true musical geniuses in the field. i think this has something to do with how niche it is these days.
