Sacred dude, Indie music just gets me every time on an emotional level. The happy ones always cheer me up, and I always break into tears listening to the sad ones.

What does music mean to you and how does it work for you, guys?

Music is my life, music is pretty much everything to me when I'm alone. When I meditate, jog, browse the internet, or even just chillin', I listen to music. Not 24/7, but almost all the time. Although there's still time when I want total peace, mainly at studying or listening to my friends when talking. Recently I found out that I'll not get much more focus when listening to loud musics, so I prefer psychedelics or chillouts for studying and nothing more than that.

Seeing Sacred shared his musical experience up there, I'd love to do the same as well. Oh boy this is gonna be long~.
It all started back when I was still 6th grade. I borrowed my dad's Samsung MP3 to feel the power of music for the very first time. The very first song I listened to was this:

Yes, this still gives me so much nostalgia, despite how old it is.

Back then I wasn't really too keen with music listening (only listened to Yanni and local music that I don't really like much ^^") until back around 2013, this Rate the Music thread was still existing on this forum and someone on the forum (thanks Cedric) introduced me with MrSuicideSheep, that particular channel with lots of variation of electric musics from dubstep, chillstep, trap music, etc. From there I started to know another various electronic music artists like Knife Party, Skrillex, Waterflame (I knew this particular one from Fordz's BSE animations - thanks man), etc.

I pretty much like so many variants of pop music aside of electronics, but mainly instrumentals, OSTs (thank you movies), maybe some amount of rock - not too heavy though - then psychedelic, good amount of chiptunes, and ambients. My liking at music kinda depends on certain mood I'm having at times, like in one moment I want to listen psychedelic (Carbon Based Lifeforms & Astronaut Ape had lasted for good 3 months in my ears until I felt like I needed more explorations XD), but then in another I wanted more chiptunes for several weeks (-Kubbi made me do this lol).

Nowadays I'm more onto Au5, Fractal, recently got more interests with Phil Collins, and some more OST variants that I can't mention one by one because of my broad taste in musics XD
Aaand I'm getting back to Yanni again this moment thanks to that music I linked above like woah. I may have listened to more electronics and OSTs here and now, but I'll never forget how I met Yanni musics for the first time that brought me to this venture. So big thanks, Yanni.

In short, I'm a music explorer. But some particular ones got stuck in me for life and will not be simply forgotten like a dust.

My styles are actually random. You never know if I'm ever gonna like this song or that song. It's mah mind that determines that hot delicious smexy song that awaits me in It's house.

Anyone listen to Bring Me The Horizons newest album? I've really been digging 'Happy Song' and 'Throne'.

Apparently they used to be a popular screamo band, and now all their fans are pissed off because they went 'mainstream' and made music people can actually listen to.

Stan SB makes my dick so fucking hard, ughhhhhh.

Anyway, dunno if any of you have ever heard of this guy but he makes pretty sick remixes of popular OSTs from things like Rocket Power, Power Rangers, and a bunch of different anime.

My favorites are this vvv and his Quincy Theme remix
