Nice, so if Nish doesn't tell you guys what to do, nothing happens.

That's cool.

Later tonight I'll draw up the place and everything, but put some minimal fucking effort

OOC: Sorry dude, I've been travelling. Just give us the plan details and all that, and I will post something long and proper, in character, after I catch some sleep.

Yeah but it's always you doing the whole planning phase.

Like, a few other members will jump in, but they're mainly waiting on you.

I'm not going to draw the map, since that'd make it too easy. This is all you need to know for a plan. Once you people have a plan and start perception checking and shit I'll give more info away.

"My boss knows, alright? He knows everything about the distribution. I just know that if we give Tolemsky some money in PAC, he cuts our restrictions, so everyone wins, right? My boss will tell you about the chemicals, alright? I know who you guys are, you're fucking feds. You're shutting this shit down so I'm just going to tell you that I'm an accountant, alright? My Boss' name is Henderson, and tonight he'll be at the Union Ball.

I've got a ticket for myself and one other person, but the event is controlled-access. Sure if you flash your badges or whatever they'll let you in, but other than the table guys and the cooks, nobody else is allowed in."

OOC: Wait, didn't I make the plan this time? Because you copy-pasted your old post, which me and Nish discussed, and there was no yay or nay to the plan. I mean, I can draw it up as an explanation, but it kinda bothers me that my effort wa thrown under the bus.

No, I read your post man, and I'm glad you actually have a plan, but you guys never agreed to execute, prolly because none of the other players are here.

OOC: I'll do a mock up of Cal's plan then, for criticisms for the others.

OOC: A map of the area might be nice to have, actually. It would help us figure out where to find Henderson and how to extract him. Also, where are we right now?

Victoria reached a hand to scratch at the terrible itching underneath her bandage, and for the fourth time stopped her hand mid-air and instead leaned forward onto a table, sighing. "Let's figure this out then, shall we?" She stared down onto the blank sheet of paper there, thinking. "Cal, if you can get yourself hired as a cook for the night, that will be an excellent tool to have. Depending on what you can put into his food; sleeping agents, laxatives, truth serum, we will be able to work with that. Laxatives may be the best to remove him from the crowd and into a quiet bathroom."

She took a step back, looking out among the lot of them as she thought what each different person could be good for. There were just so few who could be relied on at this point. There was Veeran whose wheelchair made him stand out no matter where he went... Cal was quickly gaining favor in the spy's eyes--men who tried to avoid violence were rare these days--and she was glad he could help. But what else could the others do? What did they even want to do? She didn't know what they were even good at yet.

"First of all, we should decide our approach. Shall we go stealthy and attempt to extract Henderson without anyone's notice? Perhaps we'll question him in that very building. But before I can think up a plan I need to know what you all can do for me, and where to put you in to this chain of events that we will put in motion."

Cal holds up his hand. "Hold up, Tori. I think we should try to keep this within the Union Ball. 'Extracting' him is too high a risk, especially in such a large event. I mean, look at what happened with Adrian here. Now, depending on how this event goes down, I believe the best course of action is indeed to get Henderson from the main of the event, someplace where we can have a clear advantage in negotiations. I'll try to either work an action station or spike a cocktail with something to cause mild indigestion and discomfort. When he leaves, we'll corner him and get the information. As Adrian noted, we're agents, and when Henderson is being interrogated in an area where he can't escape or make a ruckus without destroying his own image, we'll have a foreseeably better outcome."

He clears his throat. "The way I see it is this: the Union Ball is already full of big wigs, and there will be people delivering food and action stations situated all over the place. Because of the length of time of this event, there'll be an excess of employees as well. If I can spike Henderson's food, it'll take a bit of time before he's affected, giving me enough time to ask for a break. You, Victoria, should enter along with Adrian, as he's got the additional ticket and you'd draw the least suspicions. When I go on break, I'll signal to you and we'll make our way separately to Henderson's location. If possible, we'll position the interrogation near a window, where Veeran can provide cover and incentive, and can help us keep the situation as cordial as possible. After getting the information we can on his working with Tolemsky and his businesses practices overall, you can knock him unconscious, and we can place his body in a stall in the bathroom along with some the remains of a cocktail, making it look as though he passed out from intoxication. I don't want to sound like a bummer, but I only really trust us three to not go in and immediately start trouble, especially considering how things went recently."

OOC: To begin, I hate having to double post, but like I said, I'd write up the plan. So here it is:

Image

Part 1: Cal, having infiltrated and working one of the action stations, awaits the arrival of Adrian and Victoria. Adrian will alert them to which guest is Henderson. When Henderson arrives at Cal's action station, he'll be given "treated" appetizers by Cal.

Part 2: After the appetizers take effect, Henderson will head out. In the meantime, Adrian will be moving to one of the alcohol stations and ordering some drinks, which he'll give to Victoria, before returning and drinking lightly.

Part 3: Cal will switch with another employee for a "break," and meet up with Victoria before their confrontation with Henderson. Meanwhile, Adrian will continue to serve as a lookout for any strange activities, and alert the two to any irregularities, should they occur.

Part 4: With Veeran acting as outside support (we'll clue him in as to which side of the building Henderson moved to as well as description so he knows what to look for,) Cal and Victoria will interrogate Henderson. Cal will be the main interrogator, with Victoria backing him up with a gun and Veeran's laser sighting as a secondary form of incentive. Fake badges and paperwork will also be provided to help back up their story as government agents, and we may try our hand at poisoning the well by saying Tolemsky is acting as the mole who gave us information on their illegal activities to bail himself out until the end of his term and keep his reputation intact.

Part 5: With the information obtained and Henderson disabled (a blow to the front of the head with the butt of the gun, then placing him near a toilet with Victoria's drinks to make it seem as though it was simply knocking himself out from intoxication), everyone meets back up at the van and heads out with the newly obtained information.

I want this plan to be heavily assessed and refined. It's a basic plan with some strong points, but it relies a bit more heavily on luck than I'd like to give it credit for. However, my character isn't memorable so that and his connection makes it smart for him to go inside as well as his relatively decent charisma, and Victoria has the whole "bombshell" thing going on for her. Without actual gunshots, there's likely little to draw much of security's attention, and since there won't be a dead body, there shouldn't be any real concerns when we leave that's link what happened to Henderson being interrogated or even having interacted with us.

It also keeps the "troublesome" characters locked out of the main area of conflict.

Well, he's in the van with the Doc. If we get cameras set up, he can work as secondary surveillance, but yeah, I didn't see a way to properly fit him in to the plan. We can only get 1 person in with Adrian, and it's pretty unlikely that Adrian would bring in a guy. That said, we can't just replace him, either, because people know what he looks like and we need someone to identify Henderson.
