You should add "Hatchet", or "Jason's Gold" to the list. I read both of these books, and enjoyed them every much.

You should put Hunger Games, Catching Fire and Mockingjay by Suzzanne Collins.

I suggest "White-Fang" or "The Call of the Wild" (both by Jack London). They're very realistic! The first one is about a wolf and the second one is about a dog. It's about the time of "The Gold Rush" In the far north. If you like adventures novels I'm sure you'll like these ones.

I'd recommend checking out the Temeraire series by Naomi Novik, if you're a fan of history or fantasy. The premise is basically: "What if there were dragons during the time of Napoleon when France was in war with England?"
Basically, dragons are trained to be used in the war by having soldiers pilot them. It tells a really good story of the bond between humans and the dragons. (No, these are not the stupid beast like dragons that are sometimes seen in western fantasy, they can talk and are often as smart of even smarter than humans.)

Looks interesting for me. I'll probably check for it.

A good read would be most of Kurt Vonnegut's works. I am currently on SlaughterHouse-Five which is a definite recommendation!

The Picture of Dorian Gray. Best book I have ever read, I finished it a couple of days ago. Explores art, beauty, human nature, the "soul", philosophy. Has the best characters that I have ever seen (read). Lord Henry Wotton kept me on the edge of my seat whenever he went on one of his little speeches about pleasure and youth and beauty.

As a side-note, I decided to start watching the film. Turned it off after 20 minutes, it's dreadful. Nothing like the book, didn't capture what it was really about. I know I only watched 20 minutes so it's not a proper judgement, but I didn't want to spoil my memory of the story with it.

New spring - Robert Jordan

It's a high-fantasy novel about medieval times with magic and dark creatures. It's a series of books FOURTEEN in total. And they are great to read.
I absolutely suggest this one to be put in the list.

^I am already reading the Wheel Of Time Series which has that. It is a nice read and has breath taking events. I agree that this is not a book to be missed.

World War Z - Max Brooks
-The book is documentary type and I love every aspect of it. It shows the hardships of man against the Zombie plague. To me, the book was better than the movie but either way both were great. I highly suggest reading the book.

The Chronicles of Amber by Roger Zelazny

This series is realy good. It works around a fantasy idea of the multiverse, with the only real world being the Curt of Amber, rest of them being shadows to this. I remember reading the fourh in less than 30 minutes. Without trying to read fast. I caught me in it's story, alot. I strongly reccomend it!

Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky.

Really really really great book, and it's a classic so if you haven't read it, you're missing out. In fact Russian literature never fails to disappoint. It tends to bring out both a darkness and beam of light in human nature and it's wonderful.
