I drew this one a few minutes ago. Ignore the size and dark/light stuff. My scanner is shitty. In real life, the shading is smooth and it's not so dark in some areas. The texture is really ghey and I don't like the fur all too well, but I like the picture all together.



And I drew this one of my bird before he got all of his feathers. Therefor, only some of his face is bright. We had to get rid of him before my mother ended up in hospital for her bird allergies and asthma. Again, the size and colour/shading is off.

That bird is awesome. Like a breed between a pig and pidgeon.

You need to study more though. Like the proportions of cat's ears and eyes comparing to the head.

The pigeon is good, just the feather texture isn't like that. Which means, as you've guessed, you need to study it. Same goes for the pigeon's feet.

Your scanner isn't shitty and your art is not crappy. I'm changing the title, because it's not crappy at all!

you draw good shapes and descent shadows, but your not concentrating enough at the bird's details. The cat was cartoony.

The cat's proportions are a way off, but I like the detail of the fur coming out of his ears. He also has a pretty nose!

About the bird, it's overall OK, you seemed to effort more on his head, I don't know how he can have both nostrils in the same side of the head, but..
His tail feathers are a bit strange. But I love the belly shading and his "hair".
Reminds me of an Arara, a exotic bird.

My pigeon is actually my cockatiel. Hence the head and the belly. Thanks. I'll focus more on proportions and texture. (Fur, scales etc.)

the cat, as others said is'nt that realistic i look at the head shape in some places and it doesn't look right

Liked the bird, the shading was off a tad though. The cat didn't look very realistic, it's ears were huge.
