A&E is short for Accidents and Emergency, and the government wants to close down that section of the hospital, and redirecting all A&E classed calls to the nearest hospital around, which is pretty damn far.

That hospital is only 10-15 minutes away from where I live, and if i were to get hit by a car or be involved in an accident, closing down that shit there would result me being dead by the time i get to the nearest A&E.
