a lot of those "makeup" ones are very clearly photoshopped or otherwise altered. makeup doesn't slim a pudgy jawline.

Make up can change how you may perceive the person, different lines of contrast, etc. Though, the camera angle as well as lighting matters the most.

I know that, I'm talking about instances like this:



Where the jaw line has been altered to look less fatty. It could be a camera angle, I suppose, but the positioning of the rest of the face is seemingly identical, yet there's a noticeable sharpness to the jaw line where there wasn't before

I'm not quite sure how they would achieve the radical eye changes without photoshop.
