Will Stickpage or Hyunsdojo ever "die"?

View Profile The people that actually say goodbye are the ones who feel a sense of egotripping coughsacredcough. The ones that just leave are either humble or ambivalent to the drama that is likely to ensue.
Honestly the people that make huge posts announcing that their leaving are the once that always come back.
I hope that if CJ plans to can Stickpage for something else he makes the transition smoother then all the other communities I've been involved in that have gone through a similar transition. Making a new site and giving old members a chance to register is not enough to migrate a whole community.
But yes, one day Stickpage is certain to die, in fact given enough time everything must be doomed to die or be destroyed.
Imagine how I felt after 9/11. I never heard back from 4 of my muslim friends.
Lol

Whether you were or not, I'm sport enough to laugh at myself. I really did create that goodbye post with the intent on speaking with the community on a very real level. But old habits die hard. Instead of a dramatic exit, I'm taking the much less noble "posting less and less over time as interest fades" form of finish until my posts are actually getting completely ignored, which is pretty much where I'm at now.
It sucks because I was hoping to get an image of a community member you could feel was actually a person behind the posts, but I ended up giving myself more of the emotional whiny "watch me be spectacular" reputation. And it looks like that's where my name will be etched here if anywhere. It is just an internet forum board, though. But then again, it was also my puberty domain. So suck on that.

View Profile Honestly I see this website to be on a day-to-day basis at this point. Crazy Jay still owns the domain to this place and never visits anymore. He could wake up one morning and just decide to move out of the place that is hosting his servers and maybe just never go back. Or sell it.
eh I doubt it. At the very least this place still has a few more years, and I believe Jeff is helping them make some new developments to the site now. At least that's what I've picked up on from the IRC topic he set.
Whether you go out like an emo fag lord, you'll always be my Scared <3

View Profile Sacred, my first statement was just an observation based on the law of the Internet. It just so happened that your leaving was the most primary post-merge case that everyone's familiar with and that's why I namedropped you, not because I was specifically gunning for you in particular. Your goodbye thread wasn't the first I'd seen on the Internet. I knew you were coming back because the only people who don't are the ones that make no such threads.
Even the ones that leave on bad terms come back if they had left by making a big deal about it like Jutsu, Index (he came back twice then in the last appearance said nothing anymore), and General Douchington/Chunky (who still come back in banned form like it's some kind of unique SP Holiday for them). Those that don't come back are the ones that really don't give a shit and have said nothing like 2-D, Gyohdon, and a bunch of immature Dojo faggots like Kizunami and Travis who thought their 'status' was worth anything on this site.
What I was 'kidding' about was the egotripping bit. That was a bad joke. I just really felt weird by your conviction to leave then you make a romance/programming/flaunting thread of all things as one of your first returning threads.

View Profile No worries bucko I'm not launching myself into a fit of depression or anything. We don't need to turn this thread into another Sacred thread haha. I'm not quite sure what you mean by flaunting but yes I did come back with much to say.

I disagree, but will respect your wishes.

Gyohdon reappeared for a while though. He could still be lurking for all I know.
Funny enough travis and kizu had this petty argument on dojo over some cnc. Kizu being pretentious as fuck and travis kinda being immature about it.

View Profile Yeah but Gyohdon doesn't care to be here.
That's what got him banned in the first place. Exact words, to Jeff's face.

I've only been really active for the past month or so. Before I just lurked occasionally, so I didn't keep up with events like this apparently. He sounds familiar though.

of course not. the actual quote was done via IRC
You don't know who Gyo is?
Really? He's one of the oldbies trapped-in-ice that defrosted post-merge alongside you. Just imagine a more assholish version of you who doubled as a programming geek.

Cruel is one of the reformed noobs I modded over during the same times Kazumi was more active. Hes got a pretty sordid history and as of current is doing way better.
