I had braces for about two years. Honestly, I believe that braces are the worst thing ever for several reasons. One being they are very uncomfortable and another being they make you look like a retard. Sure they correct your teeth, but sometimes I think whether its worth it to have them for extended periods of time.

If someone has a barely noticable imperfection in their teeth its not really worth it to have annoying metal barbs put in your mouth and spend the next 2+ years with possible self esteem issues. I would rather have incredibly painfull surgery that has a two week recovery than have those braces in my mouth again.

And theres my rant on braces.

I have the braces, I get em off in like three or four months.
It's not so bad, but I'd rather I didn't need them

Honestly, braces only suck for like a week after you get them on and a few days after they get tightened. I got my braces off about a year ago and for some reason I developed an open bite which means my front teeth don't touch down on each other. Well anyways, I had to get this. Except my ortho was an ass an clipped the tips into points with wire cutters, now my tongue is all blistered and I have to relearn how to swallow food which really sucks.

Depending on how tight they are, you may not be able to eat solid food for a while.

My prognosis. Take pain killers beforehand.

I have perfectly aligned teeth, and I will never have to get braces.

Also there is one good thing about getting braces. Well two if you count getting your teeth straightened. You look hella-sexy when you get them taken off.

Speaking of hella sexy, I'm getting them off very soon.


I'll be sure to not make a thread once it happens because I don't really care.

I had my wisdom teeth pulled out a few weeks ago, hurts like a bitch, had to brace back the damage they caused.
