If it goes off, we deserve it anyway. We dropped two fucking atom bombs on two innocent cities
Never said it was right. I said we deserved it.
It just wasn't right what we did to them. There were several different ways to solve petty disputes than dropping a bomb that kills more people than intended. Those families didnt deserve that. Hell, no one deserves to die for a reason like that. In fact if I remember correctly, some time before the bombings, rallies were started around to stop the war, they thought their emperor was batshit crazy, refusing to step down even though they were threatened with massive bombs. Those people may not have been on our side, but they still shared our goal: removal of the leader.
But that's how war is. Leaders on both sides point at eachother and declare them enemies. Anyone who dies in the war is nothing more than a casualty. A number. No one honors the innocent people that had their lives or a loved one's life taken from them. Just the men who take them or are killed trying to take them. I just see that as wrong. Sure, its an unpopular opinion and I know you think it's a stupid one, but I have a massive problem with people being killed just because the leaders of a country dont like the leaders of another one.
Also yeah, I conveyed the wrong Idea. The people dont deserve to die. I just saw 'hiroshima' in your sentence and snapped, sorry for the rant.
Who is
we? Me? You? Were
we there during the decision making? During the war?
No, that's pure hogwash.
This is like blaming me for slavery, saying that just because I'm white, that since I'm the same race as the people whom enslaved that I'm automatically deserving of the same treatment. That I could be justifiably enslaved or nuked, just because I'm of the same race or nationality of the people that DID do that.
Even though those people have nothing to do with me, or my family and those things happened long before I was walking the earth.
By this logic, could hitler not have justifiably killed the jews for killing christ? An eye for an eye? Tit for tat? Helter skelter, they deserved it?
This is what we call a primary dimension of prejudice and it's ignorance. It's the same flaws in logic and empathy you see in the KKK, I'm serious.
You see a primary dimension is something you're judged for that is outside of your control, things you can't change. In other words, things that are unfair to cause you to be the recipient of prejudice for.
Here's an example of primary dimensions that people
choose to be prejudiced about:
Sex
Birth disabilities
Ethnicity/color
Race
Sexual orientation
Nationality/birthplace
Cultural history
Language
Height
Caste
I
bolded the primary dimensions that you're being prejudiced and discriminatory against, among other primary dimensions that various other ignorant people discriminate for.
It's the same ignorance, except veiled behind the thin facade of understanding.
I'm surprised you don't understand this yet Miracle.
