I was thinking in terms if there was some way to notify everyone in the blast radius to gtfo. My point was that a mile blast radius isn't an awful lot. You could probably take it to a park and dump it in a lake; as long as the park isn't terribly crowded, the casualties will be minimized somewhat.

The most possible way with my recent location:
I'd bring the case by running and ask the security of my apartment on what we should do (I say we because of course when the bomb explodes, the blame won't be on only me). Not sure by awaiting the central polices and professional bomb defusers is a good idea as it'd take pretty long time for them to come as traffic jam often occur here, except when calling local polices. There might be possibilities that they're gonna take it somewhere with their police car, aaand my thought stops there.

Alternative choice:
Bring it to the nearby post office that doesn't take much longer time to walk around here, and shout the hell out of people to stay down because I have the bomb on my hand. Then asking the officer to send the case to somewhere far far away. Probably up to the sky or down below the sea water.

I'm aware both need sacrifices there. While dropping it inside the sewer isn't pretty much a good idea in my opinion as the ground above would definitely collapse within minutes due to the massive explosion. Like there's almost no way to survive a nuke bomb - especially with 10 mins timing - because apparently the damage area from the Hiroshima bombing was also that worse.

and not just 1 mile, Damian. Bit more than that, especially when you live in the very crowded city which will cause more time and also effort to evacuate all the people around, even yourself.

Also, any of you have a Macbook? You could try to use it to defuse the nuke if you wish.

I found that "1 mile" statistic within about a second of googling. Seems like they used the extent of the fire to define their "blast radius".

EDIT: Actually I fucked up the actual area of effect with the area where absolutely all shit is fucked up. My fault. You still do have a chance of survival outside that approximate mile. The large areas in the map include even minimal structural damage to buildings.

Towns are very far apart from each other up here, and I could possibly save everyone in my town and maybe even survive. If I couldn't, I'd be the only fatality. I'd google the explosion radius of the bombs they're equivilent to, run into my car and floor the pedal until I reached 10 km outside of town, toss out the suitcase and drive back as fast as I could and try and make it far enough to survive myself. If I didn't crash along the way while I drove 180 km/h I could probably even make it

I don't think you'd know the weight of the bomb to google the blast radius. We know but the you that's dealing with the bomb doesn't.

In reality we wouldn't know it was a nuclear bomb at all. Just the size of a large suitcase, a normal person would think that it's just a bomb big enough to cause a relatively small explosion. I'm just going off of what the thread says, no reason to exact made-up rules for the situation. :u

Would contact the authorities if I knew that the suitcase would contain such explosives.

I'd be that guy trying to find the owner if I don't.

Quote from Miracle

If it goes off, we deserve it anyway. We dropped two fucking atom bombs on two innocent cities

Quote from Miracle
Never said it was right. I said we deserved it.

Quote from Miracle
It just wasn't right what we did to them. There were several different ways to solve petty disputes than dropping a bomb that kills more people than intended. Those families didnt deserve that. Hell, no one deserves to die for a reason like that. In fact if I remember correctly, some time before the bombings, rallies were started around to stop the war, they thought their emperor was batshit crazy, refusing to step down even though they were threatened with massive bombs. Those people may not have been on our side, but they still shared our goal: removal of the leader.

But that's how war is. Leaders on both sides point at eachother and declare them enemies. Anyone who dies in the war is nothing more than a casualty. A number. No one honors the innocent people that had their lives or a loved one's life taken from them. Just the men who take them or are killed trying to take them. I just see that as wrong. Sure, its an unpopular opinion and I know you think it's a stupid one, but I have a massive problem with people being killed just because the leaders of a country dont like the leaders of another one.

Also yeah, I conveyed the wrong Idea. The people dont deserve to die. I just saw 'hiroshima' in your sentence and snapped, sorry for the rant.

Who is we? Me? You? Were we there during the decision making? During the war?

No, that's pure hogwash.

This is like blaming me for slavery, saying that just because I'm white, that since I'm the same race as the people whom enslaved that I'm automatically deserving of the same treatment. That I could be justifiably enslaved or nuked, just because I'm of the same race or nationality of the people that DID do that.

Even though those people have nothing to do with me, or my family and those things happened long before I was walking the earth.

By this logic, could hitler not have justifiably killed the jews for killing christ? An eye for an eye? Tit for tat? Helter skelter, they deserved it?

This is what we call a primary dimension of prejudice and it's ignorance. It's the same flaws in logic and empathy you see in the KKK, I'm serious.

You see a primary dimension is something you're judged for that is outside of your control, things you can't change. In other words, things that are unfair to cause you to be the recipient of prejudice for.
Here's an example of primary dimensions that people choose to be prejudiced about:
Sex
Birth disabilities
Ethnicity/color
Race
Sexual orientation
Nationality/birthplace
Cultural history
Language
Height
Caste

I bolded the primary dimensions that you're being prejudiced and discriminatory against, among other primary dimensions that various other ignorant people discriminate for.

It's the same ignorance, except veiled behind the thin facade of understanding.

I'm surprised you don't understand this yet Miracle.

I'm not entirely sure about this because if you dropped it into a sewer and it exploded. Wouldn't the explosion blast debris and rock outwards since it's exploding from under ground?though isn't there a chance that it could muffle the explosion by a little bit?

I would get in my car and drive. The only people I would tell are those around me at the time. Might try to call some friends on my way out. Other than that, a lot of people would still die. Probably instantly so that's good.

This is a great thread.

I'd probably just call the police and then just tell my family to leg it. Da police can do their own job.

Honestly, I'd throw it in my car and drive it off into this lake that's about 15 minutes from where I live.

Bomb explodes in 10 minutes
