Stick to the basics buddy. Try and tackle some proper figure construction, everything looks real flat.

Good effort but I'm not a fan of the shading, those white outlines make his jacket look like it's made of rubber or something.

anyways it looks alright.. but yeah the choice of texture could be better, less shiny edges next time. Also where's Greed's sword?

oh, so the shining highlight is a bad idea after all.
and yeah, I did not include the sword because it ruins the picture lol
