I use Macromedia Flash 8

Im having a very hard time learning how to animate at 24 fps. I posted an animation on the Community Animations section, and was told it looks too slow. It was done at 18 fps and thats the fastest I know how to do it on. I used Hyun's Stick Fight tutorial, and he used 24 fps. Can someone teach or show me how to animate at 24?

I suggest animating at 24 fps, and animating on either ones or twos depending on the context. Here's a good video explaining it. As for adjusting to 24 fps, I think that it's just something you'll have to learn after time and experimenting.

To animate 24 fps you need to animate more frames. Ik how it feels to animate at 18 fps and change to 24 fps so suddenly but don't worry, Instead of drawing 1 sudden frame for a punch add 1 or 2 frames for a punch before the punch connects. Walking and running animations will also have to get a lot smoother.

Frame rate is honestly a matter of preference, you'll likely work at a faster frame rate the better you get. You'll need to add more frames the higher you go, though. Keep practicing and play around with it, and don't feel pressured to work at a specific rate.
