Hello,
I recently started experimenting and animating with flash. I have one question however, is it possible to save every limb of our stick-man as it gets morphed by us. For example, I use a mesh for my arm and i proceed to animate the stick-man. In the future if i want to change the color of said arm, or maybe add some armor to it, all i would have to do is to change the mesh and my animation get's updated to show the new arm with the armor. Would such a thing be possible? Thanks all for reading!

You'd have to make a layer for each limb (2 for arms 1 for torso and stomach 2 for leg 1 for head is what I would do)

What you want to do sounds like making each limb a symbol and animating by moving the symbols each frame. That would be incredibly tedious though and I feel like it wouldn't be worth the effort

im pretty sure theres a button that allows you to make each limb separate without having to make so many layers, i use macromedia flash, not sure if its on adobe flash, but it should say
"Object Drawing (J) " (thats what it says for me) or something similar. this makes it so you can edit each limb without having to make different symbols or layers. again i dont know if it goes on Adobe Flash,

While this is true, it wouldn't do what he wants it to do, since they'd all still be seperate symbols. He's saying he'd like to animate the whole thing then edit certain parts and have that translate to the whole animation

yeah thats true, what hes trying to do is make like armor but not have to continuously animate the armor on. all i know to do is like create each armor piece as a symbol and create a new layer for the armor.
