For... for some reason, it deeply bothers me that your game is set simultaneously in the future and past. That point aside, I'm also somewhat disturbed that players have a Heads-Up Display. Are we wearing helmets? Do we have AIs constantly monitoring our vitals? Magitek AIs?

By HUD, I'm guessing he meant more of a UI that we're able to see and interact with as players considering the characters themselves should know their health and what they're carrying without an HUD. Wouldn't be the first time a forum RPG does it and it's usually it works well, it makes the world more concrete and the danger more real.

This just feels more like he's trying to write out a video game character versus a true RPG. There's nothing for stats or the like, no indications for how rolls work, nothing at all. And with him in total control (as a DM should be, but still, there's typically some place for player input into the system) it just feels wrong.

I'm just wondering how things like how much freedom we have with our characters actions and how rolling will work.

These are the qualities of a Wither Trademark game
