So I've taken it upon myself to make an actual thread for MtG. Here we can discuss decks/deck ideas, our favorite creatures/spells, or anything else regarding MtG.
I've recently come across this program called Cockatrice that allows me to build my own decks out of any card in the game and battle other people online.

If you're new to MtG then I'd suggest taking a look at the basic rules:

It's Dragons of Tarkir, actually. Keep in mind for the upcoming Magic Origins. Also, yes, I do play EDH. My commanders are Lu Xun, Scholar General; Brimaz, King of Oreskos and Sun Quan, Lord of H̶o̶r̶s̶e̶m̶a̶n̶s̶h̶i̶p̶ Wu

I would recommend Card kingdoms advanced search feature if you want to look for cards.

You can set it to standard, to see standard cards only.

I am more on Modern, I dabbled in Standard when Infect was a thing. I plan on making a Tiny Leaders deck with Sygg, the River Cutthroat as its commander. Still thinking it through though.

Modern is Tenth Edition above, if I recall correctly. If cards that don't use the old border [white ones] are from that edition, then okay. I'm just specifying the actual block where it begins. Shouldn't links to the banned cards per area be posted here too?

Damn, I'm guessing you managed to stand a chance against him. I don't fare so well, I'm usually the first casualty within a handful of turns unless I bust out that one deck.

we only played Standard so I had to create some new decks. He hasn't seen anything you've seen.
