water because you can control people, always have a source of water, never need to move for ice or a drink, can go swimming everywhere, and can breathe underwater (by creating bubbles) and can perform incredible magic acts.

Good idea, I'll change it. I chose water because you can counter quite alot of other elements, and sharks live there and I like sharks.

And H2O comes in many forms. Ice, liquid, water vapor, sleet, hail, and snow. Ice to freeze people, water to drink, water vapor to um... do nothing, sleet to make people slip, hail to throw at people, and snow for fun.
