Just like to clarify a few things...

- When FA first merged with SP 3 years ago, there was suppose to be a plan for RHG to easily translate...

- However, SP was rife with problems. Delays. The lack of a legit portal. Not pointing any fingers, I think certain things were promised but because of how the Administration was just forming, the progress was really slow and certain things that were promised were not delivered and still aren't being delivered as of this writing. There were also a few controversies and failed projects in between. It generally left a bad taste in like 90% of FA's mouths.

- This 90% migrated and formed The Dojo as a place to originally rival Newgrounds, not Stickpage. There was originally no intention to include Stick stuff in their repertoire or in the very least, they would all likely wished to have evolved from it or discourage it.

- However, since the community was mostly composed of embittered FA refugees (some of which have been banned here over the years for separate reasons), the Stick culture sort of stuck on anyway and now you have people who animate sticks there some for fun others for serious, because that place in general had all the things that SP failed to deliver such as The Portal.

- Part of the reason is also because there was a certain culture clash between the mega-animators of FA and the retired-oldfag SP users. But that was just during the 1st year of the Merge. In some ways, the Dojo was good for removing this element of hatred.

Can someone please explain "The Portal"

Havent you ever seen a Web Portal before?

Essentially, it's just a place where people can upload their anims for the viewing of everyone who comes to thsi site.

We actually DO have a portal but its old and unmaintained, and it's not facing outwards where this site is. The existence of this portal has always been one of the major contentions behind people leaving this site. Simply the fact that HD has one is enough to jump ship.

Actually, I do remember FA. I remember somewhere in 2011 or 2012 I was on Hyun's YouTube channel and he mentioned FA, so I went to check it out, although I did not make an account.

Jeff has the FA database on a flash drive, so technically he could rehost the website and put everything back the way it was when he took it down (If I'm understanding him correctly).

But there's no sense is living in the past trying to ride a nostalgia train. I have confidence that when he's done reinventing SP it will be better than FA and HD. It will be like Fluid Stick's Dojo.

We should totally name it that. Right guys?! Guys? Hello? :C
