Oh and its KALA not Kila
I spray bright blue on the wall and step back. Wolfe comes up behind me. "This seems gloomier than its supposed to be." I sigh.
"I want a little more... Excitement. Life seems so boring now. Being all goody good girl is so. So... Lame!" Wolfe chuckles. "I'm thinking about joining a clan... Maybe!"
Wolfe cocks his head and stares right at me. He has a real special way of looking at you ad making you feel like he's looking INSIDE of you. I shudder inwardly.
"Go for it then. You're still young Kal. You go hopper and just pick whichever clan you like." I grin and punch him in the arm.
"Thanks Wolfe. Help me clear up will ya?"
I remember a few years back, I'd been caught doing illegal graffiti work by a robot, a dragon and some weirdly green skinned dude. It was quite upsetting because I was almost done with my work when they'd blasted the wall to bits.
I bend down to pick up the black spray can. I stop for a second to tighten my headscarf. Suddenly, a blast rocks me off my feet. Pieces of bricks rain down on me and I look up.
"Stop vandalising the area kid!" I turn away from the hole in the wall. A funny looking trio stood before me.
"Uh dude? You just blasted a hole in the wall and what I'm doing is so bad? They should you put you in jail for that! I'm just giving a little color to this dull area." The green guy looks flustered for a moment. My eyes stray to his hands. "Is that dirt?"
"Those are seeds!" His eyes flash angrily and I laugh. I yell in shock when the robot lifts his arm and a bolt of electricity sends me scrambling back. I curse. I flip a purple can in my hands. I spray while thinking of a symbol. Something drops out of the sky and I catch it. A simple staff.
"Get out of my way freaks. I've got to meet some people. And decorate a few places."
"Verde, you go and deal with the kid." The dragon says. The green skinned man steps forward. A sword extends in his hands. I widen my eyes. Clearly, I didn't think so highly of him. This was going to be fun. I blocked a few of his slashes but the staff finally snaps. I duck a swipe at my head and shake the can several times before I spray something else. A large and heavy cloth flies up, closing in on Verde. It lands on him and I giggle as he tries to untangle himself.
"What on earth is in that can?"
"It seems that she can conjure objects with the can. We must work as a team. "
I shake a blue can, twist the cap and fling. Then, I grab my skateboard and move off. I'm hoping the robot can't see with all that smoke or at least be occupied for a few moments while I take my leave. I use another blue can and spray. I start moving faster. I slow down after I've reached the next neighborhood. "Lost them." I exclaimed triumphantly.
"No you haven't." I whip around. The dragon is right behind me, followed by the robot. I can see the green man jogging up from behind. I grit my teeth.
"Stop. Following. Me!" I spray from a red can I've hidden behind my back. I aim for the dragon because its obvious this can won't work on the bot. Unfortunately, the robot throws himself in front of the shot. I growl and turn the spray on myself. I feel a tingle rush up my all over my skin. I'm not sure what I've got. I'm hoping for unbreakable skin. I lash out at the robot and knock him aside. Speed. At least that can help me get away too. I spin and kick the dragon. He never saw it coming. I'm racing away again. I twist and turn around blocks. A hand pulls my back suddenly and I crash into the ground. My arms are pulled behind my back. Handcuffs click against my wrists.
"No!" I struggle and kick. The trio circle me now.
"You're heading to jail now kid."
"When you get out of jail, I hope you become a better person."
My headscarf is loose. Oh boy... My hair tumbles down as the headscarf slips off.
"You're a girl?" The dragon seems confused. I sneer at him.
"Never seen a girl before?" I blow my hair out of my eyes. I scowl as they lead me away.
As we reach juvie a few days later, the robot sits next to me in the car. He turns to look at me. "If you become a better person Kala... Think of me."
I frown. I was expecting him to appear out of the air when I thought of him. I shrug. "Time to go searching."
I stick around the areas where most of the bad happens. I'm assuming they go out to kick bad guys in the ass or something. Its mostly quiet.
I finally hit jackpot at Acorn Hedge - a bar. I used to go there all the time. It was just a casual brawl. At least normal to me. People throwing chairs around, knives flashing.
The door bangs open an the crack of a whip slices through the chaos. The green man from years back appears. Seems like he's alone... And has a better arsenal. A roar from behind. Nope. A dinosaur follows up. Where'd the dragon go? And the robot? Had they died? Quit? Vanished to some other dimension? I watch as the two take down every single one of them. Shots ring out and everything. In the end, most of the people are led away in cuffs. I recognize one of the captured as street name Jello, real name Josh. He deals in drugs. I watch as the green man walks out of the door.
"Hey! Wait up!" The dinosaur turns to me and snarls, snapping his jaws. I take a step back. "I just want to talk to the green dude! Not gonna kill him. Hell, he'll know me! I'm pretty sure." I grin at the dinosaur. I look closer. "You're a velociraptor? Cool!"
"What's taking you so lo- oh!" I raise my eyebrows.
"Do I know you?" I realize I have makeup on this time unlike a few years ago when we first battled. I untie the headscarf.
"Remember me? The girl you thought was a guy and who bested you with a blanket?"
His lips tighten.
"I remember alright. What do you want?"
"I want to join your clan or whatever."
"Really?" I shrug and pat the velociraptor.
"Sure. What have I got to lose? Hey! I'm a good person now. What I did was years ago." I look the green dude up and down. "Actually, you don't look even older than me. How old are you?"
"15." I gape. This moron was a year younger than me?
"I'm not the leader in case you're wondering. Subject 118 is." I look at the dinosaur.
"Can I join you guys then?" The dinosaur nods. "Yes!" I punch the green skinned kid on the shoulder. He winces. "Sorry." I snicker. "Betting you already dread my presence." He doesn't say anything which I take as a yes. I throw my head back and laugh.
