while I agree that it's retarded I'd rather enforce the rules than a viewpoint that MS paint dicks are inappropriate for a public forum (which I don't agree with even if I don't want to see it) and I want to make sure one follows the other in case this escalates further. the rules state pornographic content isn't allowed, does that include very crude MS paint images or not? there are users with avatars/sigs that are clearly images from hentai with the naughty bits cropped out, they're still very sexualized and it seems weird to me that we allow this while simultaneously threaten infractions for the shit going on in the comic thread. if nothing else I'm fine with issuing a 'degrading someone's thread' infraction, but arguing that an MS paint dick is somehow inappropriate sounds like a mod forcing their personal views on others. not to throw you under the bus, cami

In the rules there is a clarification that NSFW art is okay as long as it's non-sexualized and clearly marked in the thread title. I guess I would say you could argue that the comic was sexualized, but there are a couple of thoughts I have on this. That clarification is really meant for serious works of art posted in the art section. It's not an excuse to post crude nudity under the veil of being artistic, especially not in what is clearly supposed to be a fun low effort thread in the general section. The reason we don't just allow NSFW content is because we have a target demographic we appeal to and advertisers to comply with. Maybe it would be appropriate in a public forum that was run without having anyone to answer to, but not here.

We typically follow the same guidelines that the advertisers do. Pretty much if there's nudity depicted - no matter how crude - it is not allowed. The avatars and signatures that are just cropped hentai are fine because even if it's obvious there is never any nudity. There are certain lines that may be crossed with it and we can take those on a case-by-case basis, but mostly the people that do it are just trying to be edgelords and it's not really hurting anyone even if it does just end up being cringeworthy. In this case it's not really about personal views, at least not from my perspective, as there's a pretty objective guideline to follow. That said, I thought about what I saw earlier in that thread and did nothing because the only time when the dick was fully visible it was censored adequately. Every time after that it was just a flesh-colored outline with no head.

I'm saying it's inappropiate because I was thinking in the young mayority of the users. I'm not going to take any actions on it I just said they might get infracted assuming that any of you would want to do something about it AND to prevent that from escalating, because the next posts of that (in order to continue the comic) would have to be about that thing doing gosh knows what. At least in my opinion even cartoon dicks should have limitations if you're gonna post it in a forum like this.

I was gonna make a thread to discuss this cus I don't really wanna get involved into this. Just throwing my 2 cents, I don't really care if it ends up being allowed or not I just wanna know if I have to do something with it at all.
