This is one of those physics/geometry questions, isn't it? The rabbit is a red herring.
A rabbit, or any other creature, can run into the woods up to the half-way point. Beyond that, you are no longer running INTO the woods, and are actually running OUT of the woods. So the answer would be, right into the dead center of the woods.
